cwai02
I bought a Swiss ETA 2892-A2 movement on ebay. Paid $160 and it is from a Chanel J12. This is the movement shot: Should I use it to mod a J12 or should I use it to build an ultimate Omega SMP? Maybe a FM? Too many options. http://home.xnet.com/~cmaddox/omega_base_movements.html I have the OEM SMP bezel and OEM cal 1120 rotor. But I think it's better to mod a more expensive watch. A genuine SMP is pretty cheap. Suggestions? Edited July 24, 2006 by cwai02
Rolexman
Seems obvious to me... mod a J12!
archibald
Seems obvious to me... mod a J12! You could put it in that sweet PO you have, since that's the base movement of the gen. Or, if you don't want to swap for a swiss, I'd put it into a asian powered rep of a watch that uses the 2892. In my collection, this would be going into my ATF dive watch-- the Picot Le Plongeur (If you have one of those, you can probably also get an OEM dial from watchpol or whatever his name is.)
