Merlin Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 for the last mod this year I filled the markers on my Marina Militare with (a kind of) resin. I like the look
dadog13 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 merlin, you are doing some nice vintage mods lately...congratulations!
l3x Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Nice job. The dial looks amazing. Very clean job. But to me the numbers are too close in color to the dial. Maybe needs some more contrast? Just MHO.

Maybe needs some more contrast? Just MHO. although I like the look now I thought of this already. It's an easy fix because the color is on the lume and not on the resin. the next time i change something at the watch I might go over the dial again , maybe...

earlgrey-erfurt Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 although I like the look now I thought of this already. Merlin Posted January 3, 2009 Author Report Posted January 3, 2009 i am wearing the third dial version on my 3646 so make if you like too there are some gen with tone in tone color too wear it well Helmut that's the point! the vintage gens vary so much that most of our watches could be possible
Merlin Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 although I like the look now I thought of this already. It's an easy fix because the color is on the lume and not on the resin. the next time i change something at the watch I might go over the dial again , maybe... I knew that I can not resist... I changed the mineral crystal for a Plexi and so i took the chance and modded the dial again. Now I have brighter markers and so there's now a better contrast. I love the look of the curved plexi, just need to make (very slightly) scratches...
