Highflyingclive
I'll run this race slowly... I expect that all of our dealers will have these before too long. I'll be after the blue.. on leather, of course... Edited July 24, 2006 by Highflyingclive
savage_here
Just can't get past that silver/gray subdial. Hate it.
Indyclmbr
I like the blue. I'm on the cusp, I just worry about the movement. I know there has been some discussion on that front, but for that kind of money, it would be nice to know if it could be easily repaired or replaced should it need to be. Any thoughts on the movement guys? I'm curious to hear what everyone else is thinking. Climb on.
Richard Tracy
I think i'm leaning towards blue myself.. also on leather... Funny how everyone's opinion starts to creep in on what we originally feel... I guess that's what being part of a community is all about though.. group think. As for the movement, as long as it's the latest 7750 it should be fine...
Guest Sql_pl
I think I will go for a black one. Just found these pics at gen forum... It will be a nice addition to my 029 GMT. Cheers!

Highflyingclive
I'm not fond of panda watches... especially one-eyed pandas. But I know that they are very popular. Each to his own.
Usil
I ordered the blue faced one from Neil. It comes with a bracelet but what kind of band goes with blue? I don't think I like the blue aligator above. Usil

archibald
As per the other thread, the blue dial is a fantasy--the closest corresponding gen says "Firenze" not "GMT" on the dial and has an engraving of the original Panerai store on the back. Yet another episode of "The Wacky World of Repmakers:" Everyone hollers for a blue dial PAM and, out of the dozen or so models of genuine blue dialed watches, they rep.....none of them. Love that strap, though, Swdivad!

The PAM 89 is supposed to have an "anthracite" color dial. Picture. Also, looks like the case should be brushed steel.

The picture you have above is of the titanium version.
fletch512
That's wrong. The picture you have above is of the titanium version. I stand corrected. The case is brushed titanium. And to be more precise, the dial is anthracite with black sub-seconds dial. The movement is OP VIII, which is a modified 7750.
Highflyingclive
@Fletch... we think that the closest original to the blue-face rep is a Pam 228 - a rare 2005 special edition, of which only 100 were made. Here is a link to the real thing: http://www.panerai.com/s_special_editions...._categoria=4724 Happy timekeeping! Clive
