I got this in the mail today: So, what is the best way to remove the crystal without having shards explode and lacerate a major artery? I have a crystal press, but am concerned that it will further fracture and leave residual pieces. All the crystals (so far) that I have removed have been intact. Any suggestions? Thanks! -K
offshore Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Just remove the movement, and pop the crystal with your thumbs, over a waste paper basket! If you are super concerned about shards and pieces flying, put the whole lot inside a plastic bag, and pop the crystal from the outside. Offshore
RWG Technical Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Place a piece of masking tape on the outside of the crystal, then press it out from inside as per normal. The tape will help keep the shards from flying everywere... RG
