Reflections

Hi Guys. Have finally bought a photo studio in a box with side dispersed lighting. And after many posts hope to soon learn to

display my collection. How do you prevent reflections from occuring on non ar watches? Am not using a flash and am using time exposure. Thanks

It's tricky. Ideally, use a polarizing filter and it will cut out the glare. Short of that, use a watch with AR coating...that helps a lot...otherwise, it's just getting the right angle. Try using Silly Putty or Rodico to help act as a soft clay to keep the watch in the position you need it in...or try finding a matte black card and positioning that in various ways to act as "neutral" reflector...possibly almost right on top of the watch but out of view of the camera.
