captain_rossco
First of all thanks to all that have helped me come to this conclsion, Laz Stilty and co! The plan will be as follows. 16200 case from a thouroughly helpful RWG member Generic SS rolex bezel from Cousins UK Genuine Crown (gen tube already fitted to 16200 case) Gen jubilee bracelet from a new ish DJ Gen White dial Now the movement, Stilty reliably informs me that i will have to modify both the ETA 2824-2 and the 2892-2A so there's my only real dilemma! I'll need to phone cousins to make sure that the generic fluted ss bezel they offer will fit the 16200 and is not for the 116200, other than that can anyone see any issues arising? I'm fortunately in posession of a rlx movement that will now be kept for a future project! What do we think folks, do-able for a newb? Thank you all so much again for your help. Best Wishes CR Please escuse the thread title spacing! Edited January 15, 2009 by captain_rossco
stilty
as far as modding the movement. It is just a swap for the Hour Wheel, Cannon Pinion and 4th wheel. If you go with a 2892-A2, you will need H.3 fitting height. You can order those parts from cousins as well. you will also need a date disc and hand set. HauteHippie
I did one of these with a 2892 and stilty spacer ring. The Zigmeister did all the necessary hour wheel, canon pin stuff, and it turned out great... I just wish I had taken a pic showing the movement before giving it away.
