elisiX
Hi Guys.. Had some time aside again yesterday (Australia Day long weekend) so I thought I might shoot my Panerai 183G. I've never really taken a photo set of this watch on its own and its always been tied in with many others as a group. Owning a genuine Panerai 111K, I can safely say that the work on this piece by a retired modder is an absolute accurate work of art. And without intending to cause controversy, I cannot understand how the current dials from our dealers and even from LH cannot get them right. This 183 dial differs only to my genuine 111K in its surface finish, but that is it. The daylight lume color is perfect to the gen and the dial text is also extremely accurate. Both in color and application. With an old best E series movement and correct E series Black Seal dial - this one is very special. To be as close as it is to my gen for I think $600.. it's a bloody bargain. Anyway - hope you like.
TK471
I is beautiful. As good as a rep gets IMO. The movement is a very pretty thing, as well.
sander
Looks great man. What did your modder do other than the cannon pin? The AR doens't look standard to me.... I also like the strap. Can you tell us what it is?
elisiX
The dial was relumed, dial refinished (matte), cannon pin, serviced old e series A6497. The strap is from Micah Dirksen (www.vintagerstraps.com) This is called 'Brindle', per the title.
