chessmonster Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I am thinking about buying this olive green IWC...its called the ceralti limited edition. The real one sales for over 20k or so. Does anyone know how accurate this rep is? I am debating between this and the top gun ceramic...
adrenalin Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Unless your a fan of 'puke-green', I think the ceramic might be a better choice. I dont think that I have ever seen that color on an IWC. Choose the one that you like, and go for it! Best of luck, -K
Guest asim Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 i second adrenalin. the green colour is not very common in IWC. the last green they had was a Boris Becker LE Portuguese Chrono-Auto. i would rather go for the ceramic, esp the one coming out soon because optically it looks more gen like.
Toadtorrent Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 The Gaytona came in gen form too...doesn't mean it looks good.
MADRED7 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 FIRST...the rep color is completely off....as some above mentioned allready puke-green instead of olive-green! SECOND...the 2 reps you mentioned are playing different leagues...BP is OK for the price, TopGun new ceramic will be outstanding and highly accurate...TG will be tripple the price of the BP. THIRD...understatement is matte black.....extravagance is booger-green. Just me 0.02$ Theo
Toadtorrent Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 I agree with Theo. The TG Ceramic is one mean looking rep. Matte black with red jet hands...all business baby!! Perfect for island hopping in your Apache chopper...saving the world at the Baccarat table (screw Texas Holdem) or stealing lunch money from the geek in accounting. The green BP is a limited use rep. Only few wardrobe options will show this watch off as it should be which means it won't get much wrist time. As much as I'm not a big fan of the colour, I think it would look good as an oversized women's watch matched to something like a Luis Vuitton Multicolor bag or whatever...
Guest asim Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 im actually asking myself what the designers in Schaffhausen were thinking designing the "olive" BP..
Fidestro Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 I am sure it sold, so more power to them.
