klocklind1 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Every thing looks VERY good BUT (a small one ! ) the text on the titaniumclasp should be SMALLER than the one on Your one !

sander Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 That looks really great Mickey. Love the dark colour of the strap and the polished gears. Did these came in the donor watch or did you get them somewhere else?
Mickey Padge Posted March 2, 2009 Author Report Posted March 2, 2009 That looks really great Mickey. Love the dark colour of the strap and the polished gears. Did these came in the donor watch or did you get them somewhere else? Thanks chaps! The gears and screws were sourced on RWG via whole movements (Asian), with FxrAndy supplying the blue screwed movement. So it's safe to say I have plenty of spare 6497 parts for this Swiss movement should it fail I have just removed the crown pin too, and replaced it the right way up, looks much better now
Mickey Padge Posted March 3, 2009 Author Report Posted March 3, 2009 Here are some pictures of the adjusted crown pin It is strange, these seemingly small adjustments make a really big impact on the watch! I think the flared balance wheel issue will be left "as is" though, I have the spare parts, but no inclination to pay for that to be done. You can't see it when the watch is running anyway
TK471 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 So much better on the pin. I'd made it about half-way down the page and was going to comment that it looked upside down. It really looks great with that pin reversed. Well done.

Mickey Padge Posted March 3, 2009 Author Report Posted March 3, 2009 Thanks guys, it was worth the effort I used a bracelet sizing tool to remove the pin, I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner
Mickey Padge Posted March 3, 2009 Author Report Posted March 3, 2009 Watch looks great! Thank you very much! In terms of accuracy I think it is now very good, really the gears and blue screws make the biggest difference, in case I take it off my wrist to show somebody. I tend to admit it is a rep anyway
Mickey Padge Posted March 26, 2009 Author Report Posted March 26, 2009 I just picked up a new strap from Panatime for $30 for my PAM036. For the price you really can't go wrong! http://www.panatime.com/24swlechwast.html What do you guys think? It is a chocolate colour with white stitching, waterproof too! I think it looks quite sharp, a nice clean cut look, it compliments the titanium finish and the dial really well.... Cheers!
Mickey Padge Posted March 28, 2009 Author Report Posted March 28, 2009 Nice work Mickey. Thanks man, I have just picked up a chequered finish chocolate/white stitch strap too, nice and thick. It's good to have a few different choices of what to wear. I will take pics when I get the chance
