Bezel retaining clip question

Hello I have this 1680 but the bezel gets stuck. It seems like the retaining clip shown in the picture gets stuck inside the bezel. Does anybody know if a retaining ring would fit on the watch? The crystal is a correct Clark for this model. Or should I try to get new clip?

What source is this 1680? True construction should be using a tension spring i/o a wire.

anyhow, in your picture the clip looks OK, but rather it i shard to see if the groove where the wire will log in is in good condition. Perhaps you can try to put some lubricant into the groove and see if it will improve.
