New and Seeking Knowledge

Hey guys...I'm new and wet behind the ears.

I'm trying to find a black 1950 (127) and I've heard of a few sellers that offer great quality reps.

It's a bit overwhelming to see so many of these are being modded even more after purchase, but I suppose what I'm looking for is good working watch that won't give me any problems. I'm sure that may sound naive to some here. Is it a fact that the Panerai reps tend to have issues regardless of who you buy from?

I'd love to hear if there is any where else I should look.

Also, I understand that Swiss movement is what I should be looking for instead Asian, correct? This is what is more identical to the original?

The ones with swiss movements ( with the correct bridges and swanneck is no longer produced ! ) but if You can live with the square bridges swiss movement that is a 100% swiss one with glued "plates" on the bridges, that movement will last a "lifetime" !

Buy the 0117/1950 case as this ones is the best!

And be aware of that You don not alwas get the watch that You see on the picutres !!!!!

And the last thing is that the crystal can "explode" sometimes. The only crystals that is dood is the ones from Davidsen (DSN!) and the early ones from Eddie Lee and DSN wants 120$ for a crystal !!!

During my searches through the forum, I thought Davidesen might have the swanneck available possible in a few months. When you say "glued plates" does that mean it's a solid backing or the glass type still?

Aside from Davidsen, do you have any thoughts on the other two seller sites that I listed above? Thanks!
