Salem Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Hi Folks, First time post a thread in this forum. I recently bought a used gen omega. The watch is nice but 2 links of the bracelet were inserted with rusty pin. My punch and hammer only good for one of the pins. Now I still have 1 rusty pin in the link. I read some post here about using vinegar or alum spice to dissolve steel, any one know if these will solve my problem? Which one should be better for a polished stainless steel bracelet? Will the vinegar or alum eat the polished surface of the bracelet? I don't exactly know what made the rusty pin, but it seems some kind of small metal rod. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you very much. Cheers, Salem
