addingwatch Posted March 10, 2009 Report Share Posted March 10, 2009 Most rose gold plating is no longer real gold plate. They use a brass + something mix that holds better than the old plate. Gold plate does not bond well with SS. Some of the watches look pretty good, but will not look right directly compared to the real thing. Regards. Raijor Posted March 11, 2009 Report Share Posted March 11, 2009 I have Ferrari Chrono in RG ... it has worn very well with no wear spots. As to color it is slightly lighter than the gen but this is only noticeable if they are side by side. As stated above the plating is not actual gold. I would recommend this rep if you like the style.
