Tata
Hi All, Just want to gather some opinions on the above mentioned watches. Thinking of getting a gen of either (Own both reps). How does either watch hold their value? In terms of styling, which is more of 'classic' and has a longer appeal etc. Cheers
b16a2
Both are beautiful watches, and neither will hold their value particularly well, so don't buy a gen as an investment, buy it because you can see yourself owning it for a long time! Of the two, the Planet Ocean has the more classic lines, and it has a better movement. It uses a co-axial movement, whereas the Tag uses a standard 7750 but with a Tag engraved rotor. scotty
My view is that Omega wins slightly over brand name and image..... and as such, may hold it's value better than TAG, although I agree neither is for investments; rather having a good, solid gen for long term enjoyment. I have a Gen PO that I bought second hand. Wears very well, but I'm biased and prefer Omega to TAG in general.
