I really want an 029 or 089, but as usual my eyes are bigger than my budget. I am not really worried about accuracy as much as having a watch that keeps good time (keeping my priorities right)...

Ive read that last couple posts abomut that badass 029s that The Zigmeister has made and the trouble he had putting good movements in them. I also know that 7750 aren't great either.

So can anyone help me out with this....b/c i know jacks### about movements...

My budget is around 300.

Should I get a 21J movement 029 and do som simepl mods like AR, DW, which i guess are the kind of important ones, expecting to have to replace the movement anyway (for200-300$)

...OR...

Go for the 029 with the modified GMT movement (dont remember teh # designation...) that's in the "ultimate" cartel reps (300+)

...OR...

go for an DSN 089 or the like: http://www.rwg.cc/members/089-Gmt-t71854.html

I guess my question is, "since I cant afford a great movement (7753, 2893-2etc...) should I just settle for a bottom of the line one and replace it as needed, or should I get a middle of the road movement, get it serviced, and pray that it doesnt seize up on me?"

Thanks all in advance.
