[Mechnical Watch Tester] Swiss Unitas 6497-1 in PreA 0002

Hi RWG'ers,

Just got a chance to place my PreA 0002 embedded with Davidsen's Swiss Unitas 6497-1 Movement in an Orbita Mechanical Watch Tester.

Basically, this watch tester reveals the deviations in terms of seconds / day (+/-) on its LCD screen. By placing your mechanical watch --- automatic or hand-winding --- on a base which can be rotated. This base has a sensor which is connected to the LCD mainboard which will then read your movement (eg. ETA Unitas 18,000 vph).

The sensor will simulate the audible sound of the movement, as well as reveal the deviations on the LCD screen. Quite a nifty tool for watchmakers. However, in terms of accuracy, I believe that this instrument will require calibration in order to achieve accurate results. That said, every tool will have its advantages and disadvantages.

Would like the opinions of watchmakers on the board to chip in.

Pardon my descriptions if I have not used the correct terms as I am very new to this.
