would chief's a/r make my upo dial look blacker?

I'm very happy with my UPO. One thing i would like though is the dial to look blacker when outside in the light, as it looks distinctly dark grey instead of black. indoors it looks very dark with a very very slight blue tint when viewed from a side slanted angle.

would chiefs double AR make my dial look darker when outside by cutting out reflections or will it still look dark grey?

The main thing AR on the crystal does is provide contrast enhancement when viewing the dial... hope that helps answer your question.

Chiefs AR allows for a more true reading of the actual color of the dial.

The UPO dial has a nice matte black dial.

With chiefs AR it is an awesome matte black dial.

I cant urge you more than to get it done...

For comparision, here is the watch with no AR.

You cant really appreciate the dial texture thru all the glare.

Not only darkens the dial.. but "sharpens the details"

There is Strong Hawaii Sun on the dial..

In the worse type of glare.. indirect light through the window

I have two UPO's, one with and one without AR, the difference is huge, by far the biggest improvement you can make to any rep. There's only one problem.. every watch in the box without AR now looks crap.. I'll be sending a whole load more off for one of the next runs.
