RWG Technical Posted April 30, 2009 Report Share Posted April 30, 2009 The only safe way is to remove the movement, press out the crystal, then you can access the inner edge of the insert and slip a knife between it and the bezel in the crystal opening, and pry the insert off. andreww Posted April 30, 2009 Report Share Posted April 30, 2009 I had no problems removing an insert that I replaced recently by sticking a 1mm jewelers screwdriver between the edge of the bezel and the insert and gently prying it up. Sure it destroyed the old insert, but who cares. I cleaned the old glue off the bezel and used a small amount of epoxy to carefully fasten the new insert in place.
