It really depends on which case you have. Some UPOs are fitted with 2824s and some with 2836s. If yours has the 2824, then the 2892 will fit (although not as snuggly, but its hardly noticeable. Its all to do with the alignment of the stem with the crown tube and the dial with the case since the movements have different heights.

Interesting. I didn't know that some had 2836's. I was under the impression that it was either a 2824, or the high beat asian UPO Lite. Mine is a UPO Lite, with the Asian movment.

yeah i've seen both the asian movement in the LITE and 2836s when working on other people's watches. If yours is the LITE, that should be the same class as the ETA 2824s that came in the same era. I think the 2892s should fit, but you gotta get new hands and the dial feet doesn't match up either.
