For instance, if it is said " date at 6" you would find the date box at 6 o'clock on the dial. Mainly used for where the date window is located, however other items may be referred to , eg. helium valve @10! Not a silly question at all. Glad you asked. There are no stupid questions, (within reason,) only stupid answers; and most of us are somewhere on the noob spectrum. Do your homework and if you still have questions, ask. That's what I do. You'll have other questions on terminology, no doubt.
