Anyone local to LA that can do watch repair?

Well considering the bevy of rep sellers around LA, you would think someone has some info on a rep friendly watch repair shop. Especially given the many, many, many poor quality reps for sale in downtown.

Man I hope someone posts some info. I'm in Monrovia and like to do things in socal :p

Well, the downtown folks are an option I suppose, but considering the quality of what they sell, I don't know that I am too keen on letting them try and fix their own junk. I think I will just take the watch repair course and I already bought some new tools. Time to start learning how to do it myself! I'm pretty handy with mechanical stuff so I think I will be able to figure it out. I have at least one good "project" watch to practice on and the online courses that include the movements will be a good place to learn what I need.

Can anyone suggest some good watch repair books/guides for me to look into? If there aren't any good, rep friendly repair folk here, maybe I will just have to become one myself!

20 mins from downtown LA may = 2 city blocks in traffic

sorry but i don't know anyone in that vicinity or the SGV

you guys could tag-team on the sellers in Santee Alley and find out who fixes their junk
