I am sorry to hear the bad news, but this is a very common problem with rep watches. The movements in reps, no matter what type of movement, are, at best, unserviced and, at worst, used & on their last leg when they are installed at the rep factory. Because of this, it is always recommended to get a rep with an ETA movement & then have a professional (rep-friendly) watchmaker overhaul the watch soon after you receive it. Once properly serviced, your ETA-powered rep, like any other mechanical watch, should last a lifetime as long as you have it serviced regularly (every 5-7 years).
