Watch does not set time

Hey all,

Just received my first replica from Josh, a rolex explorer with the ETA 2824-2 movement.

However, when I try to set the time, after following the instructions on his website, the crown just freely spins, with no change in the time. The watch winds fine, but am just having trouble setting the time.

Any ideas?

Will it have to be a watch to return?

Just a thought but if this is an explorer 1 with out a date are you sure you are not trying to set the time in the date set position as the 2824 has a 3 position crown

3 time set

failing that it will be a problem with the motion works, maybe a missing intermediate gear
