azt3c Posted May 11, 2009 Report Share Posted May 11, 2009 Hey all, Just received my first replica from Josh, a rolex explorer with the ETA 2824-2 movement. However, when I try to set the time, after following the instructions on his website, the crown just freely spins, with no change in the time. The watch winds fine, but am just having trouble setting the time. Any ideas? Will it have to be a watch to return? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
FxrAndy Posted May 11, 2009 Report Share Posted May 11, 2009 Just a thought but if this is an explorer 1 with out a date are you sure you are not trying to set the time in the date set position as the 2824 has a 3 position crown 1 winding 2 date set 3 time set failing that it will be a problem with the motion works, maybe a missing intermediate gear Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
