From the pics I've seen, the major flaws that bother me are: - bezel: the pearl is too low, and not centered like the gens. - dial: the "clown feet" logo, and font. - HE valve size. - AR quality. Obviously, there are more flaws, but these are the ones that bother me the most. I think I can solve the bezel flaw, by getting this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bezel-Insert-For-Ome...93%3A1|294%3A50 Its not gen, but looks much better than the Narikaa's PO IMO. What do you think about it? The AR can be solved by using Chief's service, does anybody know, if he sells AR coated crystals without me sending him my own? The HE valve is tricky. Anyone know a solution? The dial is another problem, I couldn't find good REP dials (like the bezel), and the gen costs way too much. Any ideas there? OmegaPOFL Posted May 23, 2009 Report Share Posted May 23, 2009 (edited) welll....you could get gen parts for ur po... wait im not sure if they work for a 42mm PO, i know for sure the UPO can be interchanged with gen parts.. for the UPO gen parts that can be interchanged include (as far as i know) : bezel, dial, hands, he valve, crown (and tube). to give you an idea, these are the prices for UPO parts : dial 223$, hands (both hr and minute) about 60$, crown/tube (must buy them together) 20$.. i dont know bout the he valve and bezel... EDIT: i know you can source a gen CRYSTAL for about 170$... btw all these are from offrei as far as i can see...the best option is to get gen crown/tube and double AR.. and if you're that worried about the logo...getting a silix dial (you have to buy the whole dial unfortunately..) and taking the logo from silix and putting it on yours.. other than that....its really good.. They're talking there about replacing the movement. I don't want to touch it at all, IMO the 21j movement in the POrikaa is good enough. What I can gather from that thread is that I probably can't swap the dial to a gen or a better REP without changing the movement with it. I don't want to change the dial, only the logo.
