Pre-V guys- What do you think?

Just got this case in trade, and it's looking like it may be a suitable example for a Pre-V.

Short, fat, stubby lugs:

Compare to my JimmyFzu case on the left:

The corners of the case are pretty blocky as well; not turned/curved down very much...

Currently housing a 6497 and 111f dial, though that may be changing :)

Thoughts?

Looking good - I've used the same in my 201A that I'm putting together - this is the one with the 1.8mm lug screws, right?! They're a bit problematic if you want to use the double screws, but the threads of the existing 1.8mm screws are compatible with the Pre-V tubes (cut, score and polish the 1.8mm screws to get a 'snug' fit on the CG side of the case!).

Thanks, R- I'm not sure what size the lug holes are, but they do look larger than the ones on my Jimmy case; .2mm may not appear to be much, but I definitely see that it might make drilling a little difficult.

So, if I understand correctly- You basically took the threaded portion of the 1.8mm bar, cut the end off and slotted the top to recreate the other end of the double screw lug bar for a Pre-V?

I've tried it before, and only suceeded on one screw - and the thicker bars aren't easy to come by! I'm just putting together a 201a into this case at the moment, and think I might stick with the standard pre-v screws (just have a tiny bit of movement on one side) - if it bothers me after a couple of months, I might look to do what is suggested above! Great starting point though, can't wait to see the finished piece.
