stac Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 I've got an old Joshua gold plated sub case that has seen better days. I modded the crown lugs to perfection and now I am trying to remove all the plating from the nooks and crannies. It will be a perfect case if only I can get all the gold off. I know that amonia is an enemy of plating and now have the case soaking in the stuff. The case is stainless and will buff out nicely but the bezel looks like brass or copper. Any one have any experience with removing the stuff? Everyone is concerned with keeping the plating on and I'm trying to get rid of it lol
