tenacious_b
Guys, This one is my baby as it was my first PO, and I it is a near perfect specimen. Over the last few weeks, I've noticed the process of screwing the crown in getting shorter and shorter, and now, today, it simply will not screw in anymore. Is it even possible to have this repaired? Anyone? Bryan
fallraen
hi, i've experienced the same thing. i've sent my po back to my dealer and he's going to fix it for me. he told me they'll change the case for me. i'd be happy that it will work again. i have yet to get it back so... my fingers are crossed. i think it'll be fine. good luck with yours. i've learnt my lesson, gotta be gentle with the reps. RWG Technical
Same thing happened to my SMP Chrono. I replaced the tube and crown with a Genuine Omega one, problem solved. Here is that post. Omega SMP crown/tube replacement RG
crystalcranium
Crown tube stripping is probably replica watch weak link number one. Good reason to buy a winder. You simply cannot expect to use and handle these watches in any way that mimics real daily use unless you are willing to go through the expense of upgrade and repair. They are remarkable, sometimes visually indistinguishable from the genuine article, copies of some of the best watches in the world, but that's where the similarities end. Our Chinese friends know very well that putting most of the effort of manufacture into the fidelity of the copy sells better than the effort going into the performance of the watch.
