  1. hi guys, i just bought 2 watches from some fellow members, namely the pam207a (because i needed a white dial pam) and a pam89 (because i also need a 'grey' dial pam). i have no experience modding but have bought several already modded pieces in the past. i would like to try my hand in adding some mods to my incoming pieces, so here are my questions for these 2 models: 1. AR or no AR? (double AR?? don't think so right?... got taka here so I will probably send it to him if AR is needed or not needed) 2. relume? the 89 should probably have some strong lume, but i'm guessing the 207a should only have 'weaker' lume because it should be much older? (thinking The Zigmeister lume work here) 3. what crown should I use for either? 4. I should probably be looking for some CGs too, which versions should I get for these? 5. caseback for the pam89 should be fine but the 207a... which is the best? i would probably get the movements serviced by spinmaster, so that should suffice. and i can't wait to get a julien landa 'denim' strap for the white pam... all help is greatly appreciated. i haven't even got the watches so i can't take photos yet.... i'm just excited. lol thanks for helping out a noob trying to getting these mods done.
  2. i just bought a francisco serviced ap safari and it died 2 hours after i received it. going to send it for some servicing/fixing soon
  3. There's a company in Singapore that has done it google: Azimuth, model: Back In Time.
  4. to be honest it seems to me that the rehaut engravings on the trevor dssd, is thicker than the ones i see elsewhere. if anyone has a trevor dssd can you confirm this? or its it only on the photos
  5. how much did that bracelet cost? i'm considering to morph my gen 312 to a gen 328.
  6. i think domi adds the jewel to the chinese movements, to reduce friction therefore improving the movement. i don't think anyone has come up with a franken movement, eta base with asian plate... but i don't think thats even possible.
  7. a swiss eta does not have the seconds running at 12 but at 9. currently the only way the ap watches get the seconds at 12 is by the chinese movements, which has to be modded/re-assembled properly. i am interested to know how domi adds these jewels to the movement but i can't seem to get a response from guru. i would like to compare these 2 methods of modding to see which one is more effective and lasting. i will send my ap for francisco's mod once i receive a better piece (with a more centered datewheel) from my dealer.
  8. hi thanks for your reply, because this is a handwinding watch and also the crown is not a screw-in crown. i feel that the problem is either the tube or the winding stem is too long / too far out. my dealer (king) has offered to take a look and 'fix' this issue if I send it back (which i will soon). but i was wondering if any had done a mod to fix this
  9. Hi, I recently bought a Omega Railmaster XXL and was wondering about the position of the crown. Upon receiving this watch, I quickly 'inspected' for any obvious problems and found none. However I feel the crown is abit 'far' from the case and the crown tube / stem might be alittle too long? I would prefer if the crown rested alittle closer to the case but not touching the case as this is a handwind. I do not know if what I have is close to the gen, so I'd appreciate if anyone can find pics of the gen's crown position (relative to the case) that would be nice Does anyone feel the same way and have done anything to 'mod' this? Thanks for any help! PS: I will take photos of the watch to further explain what I mean. Photos, pending awaiting update.
  10. hey thanks, i ordered my strap from luca. fast response from him. i will update once i get my strap.
  11. hey yannou, who's doing the mod? that is interesting.
  12. yes, i read about how the movement works in francisco post, it seems to be effective and a good 'mod' i am intending to send my AP EOD for this improvement, once i receive my watch from the dealer.
  13. hey EOD owners, i my EOD is coming in soon and I would like to know where to get a decent EOD kevlar strap, how much does a gen one cost? otherwise where did you get yours, and what is this luca strap? i was actually thinking of just getting a kevlar strap from apbands and a matching pvd buckle. any other suggestions? thanks in advance!
  14. nice watch, just beware about the hublot logo and hublot words on the movement... i saw a picture somewhere once when the decal was coming off... it could damage or cause the movement to malfunction. if you could remove them, i think it would be best too. i saw newer 'hublot' movements where they now engrave the words on the rotor instead of the stick on decals, you might want to investigate those.
  15. wow, Francisco... that is certainly some good work! I have just ordered a AP - EOD and I'm truly interested to get this done. If my watch isn't broken or dead can you still do this and also, perhaps a lume job? PM me the details, price and servicing time. I don't mind paying for express mail both ways to get this mod done. thanks and great work.
  16. Hi guys, I too am from Singapore. I haven't been on this forum for like 2 years! Its nice to be back again. hahaha, I remember when I just joined I too started a "anyone from Singapore" thread. its nice to know more people from the republic. And yes, getting reps here have become much harder. I had a "dealer" before but I think he's stopped. Anyone know local dealers?
  17. Hi guys, I'm not sure where to post this and I've did a seach with no conclusive posts or replies so here goes. I'm heading to Bangkok this coming Friday till next Tuesday. I'll be in Bangkok the entire time and will be heading to most shopping areas, like Chaktuchak, MBK, Chinatown and Platinum. I read on this forum that Eurotimez and Narikka are based in Thailand? But do they meet ups? Also I read about the mystery shops in MBK? Do they really exist? And if so, how do I "get in" I also know that the stores in Patpong are very over priced so I think I won't buy anything there, anyone thinks otherwise? What happens if a watch breaks down? Am I stuck with an expensive paperweight (I had afew expensive reps breakdown.) Anyone Knows where I can get these repaired? I would like to know which are dealers on this forum whom I can meet up and view the watches before purchase. Anyone with an the dealers email or mobile, or an address do let me know via PM. MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!
  18. very very nice. i'm gonna get some stuff from acetimer!
  19. hi guys, I would like to change my asian 7750 to a swiss 7750 or 7753. I need some help on this. I would like to know how this can be done. How do i change the crown and chrono pushers over to the new movement? also how do i know if the swiss movement will fit my watch case? any help / pics / even links would be greatly appreciated.
