  3. what is the movement used for this watch? also, what are the flaws on this piece?
  4. sorry to hear about your plight. i think i might have gone for the 68 dollar shipping. perhaps it would be more reliable.
  5. i bought a TT navi and the hour counter kept moving even when i didn't use the chrono function. i sent it back of course. will get it back this week and check again. too bad i only realised that this movement had issues after i got the watch. should have read more on rwg. lol will stay away from most chronos now. less moving parts less likely to get problems. imho.
  6. hi, i've experienced the same thing. i've sent my po back to my dealer and he's going to fix it for me. he told me they'll change the case for me. i'd be happy that it will work again. i have yet to get it back so... my fingers are crossed. i think it'll be fine. good luck with yours. i've learnt my lesson, gotta be gentle with the reps.
  7. passions.com.sg has a bad rep for changing dials and charging more. beware of franken-watches when purchasing from time monster at far east plaza too!
  8. yep.... photos would help! also post in the right sub-forums
  9. Hi guys, I just bought a TT Navitimer with the 3, 6, 9 chronograph. 3 for the chrono minutes, 6 for hours, and the seconds hand run at 9. The problem is, the chronograph's hours marker moves on its own (even when i dont start the chronograph) and I have to preriodically reset it. Is there any solution to this? Thanks.
  10. hi there you can tell him to get in touch with ian, his username is vpyu8778 on yahoo auctions. he has to go to the yahoo singapore website, sg.yahoo.com then search the auctions section. this seller is great, but tell him he has to bargain since he's "tourist" each watch piece which is good quality goes for about 360-550 (some are higher eg. big bang etc.) singapore dollars but they are good quality.
  11. hmm yes the the depth of the date wheel i read about that too. i plan to get the two tone navitimer in white. at least yours has a consistent resistance, i hope perhaps my dealer can get a good piece for me.
  12. heh thats right the prices of gen. watches here are quite good. hmm... ice khajang lol... there's not actuall spelling to it but most shops spell it as ice kacang good stuff!
  13. Hi guys, I am about to buy a Breitling Navitimer. I have actually seen and held the replica in my hand. But I noticed that the Bezel seemed abit loose. I understand that it is a slide-rule and its supposed to well... slide but it really feels strange. As I turned the bezel, I felt an inconsistent resistance. Is this normal? Its asthough some parts of the bezel is hard to turn and at some points it just feels loose? whats up with this? a case of bad QC (no pun ) I'm sorry to ask this prolly noob question, but i tried searching the forums under "breitling, bezel" and couldn't find anything on this. Hope a Breitling owner can shine some light on this matter. Thanks guys
  14. maikel: haha honestly i dont go to the coffee bean. i'm a more starbucks person lol. oh well! thanks guys just browsing this forum, makes me wonder....replicas have come a long way... either that or i just never knew the good [censored] existed lol!
  15. Hi guys, this is the first time i'm actually on forum that is meant for replicas. I was shocked that such a forum exists but well... its the internet and this is just one of few... i'm guessing. I have actually be on a watch forum for quite some time now but they over there are the purist sort and this would prolly be a nightmare lol. I however am quite in love with the amazing workmanship that can be bought for a fraction of the original. I must say i'm pleasantly surprised at some of the replicas of late. A couple of years ago, I was already scouring online auctions and looking around the malls in Singapore for decent replicas. Those with smooth ticking movements and accurate markings. I was particularly interested in Rolexes and Panerai's, however what I found were merely dissapointing. The Rolexes were poorly made and or the so called sapphire glass was not as thick as the real stuff... The Panerai's were bad and obviously wrong. Then came the better looking panerai's with the unitas movements! joy! although they had their flaws, they still looked great oh and to make things worst, there are so many sellers in Singapore to claim to have "swiss" or grade A quality stuff... sigh not half of them are true! I have however of late met a dealer who is friendly and bring his wares to me when i want to buy or just to view his stock! amazing service at amazing prices. I just got my IWC gst and now planning to get the breitling navitimer. he's even throwing in a leather strap with it! great quality too. I'm more into dressy watches for the moment as I have too many serious / military watches lol. I hope to learn more about these interesting watches over at this forum. great stuff you guys have got going here.
