  1. So... Finally got my first rep at my local post office. A registered parcel with a note on it saying that it has been opened by customs looking for an invoice. I got the package and reopened it and saw that they also had torn out the ticking pretty high quality Rolex rep inside the package, taped it up again and stamped it with "No import duty"... (?) What's their job again..? Well, fine by me of course. Anyway, here's my puny wrist with my first rep:

  4. lalalobster, Beautiful watch, good review. Not an accuracy junky myself quality of piece how it wears are my thing (like you wouldn't know anyway nor would anyone around my area). I will need something for one of my sons (bday) and due to wrist size was looking for a good fit on a smaller wrist (no offense), this fits the bill.

  6. DD chrono module is not going to happen any time soon, unfortunately. Not really easy task, this module is quite complicated piece of engineering, and DD is quite secretive about all its modules. As far as I have heard, there do not allow (or provide resources for) servicing of modules outside of their manufacture, do not provide spares etc. Allegedly, when servicing ROO chrono movements AP simply replaces module with new one I think if some of rep movement factories would have necessary resources to do such a complicated reverse-engineering task they would start with ETA 2894 - and manufacture its chrono module. Much more current hot watches use 2894, some already exist as reps with modified 7750, but thickness is always problem, since 2894 is extremely thin for a chrono movement. regards

  7. I was quite happy with the results on this one. I found polishing it after the bleaching with a cap code lightly gave it some shine. Many gen you see with a natural patina will be faded but still have some gloss to the insert, unfortunately when you bleach one it strips off the glossy finish. But there's still nothing like natural aging....
