  3. I know the episode you are referring to & I agree that Rolex's marketing has changed. But this is neither the 1st time, nor will it be the last time that a change in marketing strategy has put off Rolex's older customers (like me). The reason Rolex has been the most successful luxury watch company for most of the past 100+ years is because they are market leaders, who carve their own path instead of following the winds of contemporary fashion. Sometimes their path intersects with current fashion & sometimes not. Whether or not you like their latest marketing/design strategy, you have to give them credit for the fact that, with hindsight, it is usually a winning strategy, profit-wise. And profits, whether politically popular or not, are what for-profit companies are all about. But, like you (& Feinnes), I wish Rolex could find a way to include a handful of traditional tool watches in their current/future product line-ups.

  8. The car is a 2008 430 Spider. The setting: the streets next to Fiorano (Ferrari test track in - next to Maranello, Italy). You can see the track in the background. The 430 has 5 driving settings: snow, street, sport, race and no CST(meaning no traction control). Only the first 2 are street legal. The sound and the power are unbelievable. When you floor the gas pedal it feels like extra cylinders are kicking it. It peaks at 8500 RPM. Truly unforgettable. The car feels glued to the asphalt. When you think you are pushing too much in a corner you just keep accelerating. Amazing.

  10. The hot glue fix is just for a the pin to lever tolereance, what you are describing is the lever not exerting enough force on the crown, in this case removing some metal from the feet of the crown guard feet where they join to the case is the solution.

  11. Don't ask me if these things will fit but as good a dial as your budget will allow. A better insert and pearl and a flat top 3 date wheel on a slow beat eta movement will transform the watch. Also have a good look at crown guards. They may need work. Am looking on my phone so can't really tell.

  12. “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” ~ Chuck Swindoll

  13. I have had a decent head of hair most of my life, but about four years ago It started to thin a little on top. I noticed this area about the size of a quarter where I could see my scalp,I freeked Well I started doing some research and found two Hair loss forums,Hairloss talk and Hairloss help. These are the two biggest hair loss forums around. The first thing I tryed was Rogain, I had a tearable reaction to It,swollen eyes and puffy face, not good, had to stop taking It.I read a lot of negative comments about propecia,so I decided to skip It. I then started doing a lot of research on a natural approach, some said It would help, some said It would not. Well I gave a try and Im glad I did. I started this fight against my hairrloss In Dec/07.(Diet) I started eating a more natural diet, whole foods/organic/ a lot of brown rice, fruits and veggies, ect.(suplements) I take a daily mega vitamin, Omega fish oil, Saw Palmetto,Calcium, and Biotin. I also try to drink around 64oz bottled water a day.(shampoos) Mon-Wed-Fri Nizoral 1% the other days,Nexus for thinning hair.I also do "scalp messages" every other night or so,this helps to Increase blood flow to the scalp, healther scalp, healther hair. I dont know how much It helps but It sure does feel good This has been my regimen for almost three years. Have I grown any new hair?? I dont think so but It has indeed slowed down my hair loss. My hair was looking like [censored] there for a while, lifeless and limp, kind of whispy. My hair looks much better now, It is thicker and that thin spot on top of my head Is barely noticable. The girl that cuts my hair has also seen a change. I was also finding some hair on my pillow and In the shower, not anymore. The reason many regimens dont work for people is because they give up after a few months. The truth Is that one should give whatever there trying at least 12 months before they deside If It's working or not. If after 12 months you see no Improvements, well then It probably safe to say "It's not going to work". I did not notice any changes In my hair for about 8 months, after that I could see that my hair was becomming healther and thicker. Great toppic Dani, I was actually thinking of starting the same toppic a few weeks back. There is some very good infomation In this thread, thanks everyone
