Once upon a time, earlier this year, I fell victim to the alluring concept of the replica watch. By simply typing the words "replica watch" on google, many sites came up, but none of the reputable ones you will find in this forum. Instead, you will be plagued by the biggest ripoff scam websites on the internet. I have discovered the largest watch ripoff umbrella on the internet. The group of internet based companies have the same swiss upgrade gimmick and are based primarily out of New York. If you buy from one of the following sites, you WILL be ripped off!! I almost fell victim to one of these rip off sites and thank god I found a reputable rep forum that saved me. Here is what I know: - The dealer will convince you to do C.O.D or Wire Transfer. - If you are out of the USA, they will say that due to security and fraud that credit card orders will not be accepted. They will convince you to do a money wire since that is the next safest method since you will have their business bank account information. Little do you know that the info provided is not actually a bank account!! It is a routing number where your funds are redirected several times until it ends up in a pre-paid debit/credit card company. The money enters the fraudster's prepaid debit/credit card where the funds are withdrawn immediately. These pre-paid accounts are set up all over the United States and are extremely hard to track. There are many aliases and phone numbers that these scammers use. They don't really have a base of operations and work off pre-paid cell phone numbers. They have set up a fake rep review site called http://www.fakereviews.com and http://www.replicainspector.com. The pictures used on these sites are of actual gen watches!! Not the watch(es) you may or may not receive. How do I know so much? I almost fell victim and actually wired funds to bluefakes. Luckily I have very powerful friends in the banking industry. With thorough investigation and persistance, I tracked to where the funds ended up. I not only got my money back, but ended up freezing several of their accounts and money returned back to other victims. Here is the list of the companies: GLOBAL REPLICA Additional Business Names: A Fine Luxury Time AFineLuxuryTime.com Allfakes Betterswiss BlueFakes Fullswiss Go Replicas Italian Fakes Jewelers Laststopwatch Limited Watch My Swiss Replica MySwissReplica.com New Replica Newwatch4u Nextswiss Nyswiss OnTimeFakes Precise Knock Offs Ravereplicas Redhotwatch Replicaceo Reproduccion Global Showtimereplicawatches Sizzlefakes SwissFreeze Zenithmotor I am really sorry that it took so long to compile this. I read about a victim on repgeek and got really angry. I really wanted to put the past behind me but something has to be done. I hope I am not too late to try and help others. These are only the companies that I know of under the same group. There potentially can be more. I have put together this information in hope that other people do not fall victim to these petty thugs. Jawo1 point

I recently traded my stunning PAM 29 with a PAM 57 as I quite like the Ti case and have come away a bit from the polished cases, even my Baron has brushed finish. So I decided to get a Gen brushed Deployant (would love Ti if anyone has one) and fitted it all up with a great strap from Orloff which is a JV nubuck Alligator strap, the colour of the strap matches the dial beautifully and being a deployant will not ruin or mark the strap which is great news. I love the finished watch and hope you do too, have a great weekend guys. AJ1 point

Another vote for a crown clutch problem. There is a spring and clutch in the crown, sometimes this construction can become faulty and cause the issue you mention. TC had a batch like this too which he replaced crowns FOC to customers who had a bad crown.1 point

Your crown is toast methinks. Inside the crown is a clutch-like mechanism. Its a hex-ish nut that is released when the end is depressed. So either the spring is faulty or the hex nut and/or the corresponding catch mechanism is worn out. It's an "easy" fix and a great start to get you more involved in watch building/modding. All you need are three tools: case opener, 1.2mm screwdriver and needle nose pliers. And a replacement crown. Might as well get a gen. Open up the Caseback with a duct tape ball or a squash ball. Or ideally a 29.5mm oyster case remover ($15-20). I find ductape balls don't work well on Rolexes sometimes. Once open, depress the stem release very very gently while tugging at the crown. Take the pliers and grab the stem at the square area. Unscrew the questionable crown. Then thread on the new crown. Reinstall everything. Voila. First mod done. Congrats1 point

If that is your very first rep and you've just joined these forums, then it's a sensible idea to buy something cheap, an amount of money that you won't cry over if it vanishes without a trace. I'll own up and say that after reading about all the rip-off dealers and then finding these forums, my first thought was "Good god, the dealers have made a whole forum just to convince us they're OK to deal with! Trusted Dealers and everything!" and so I read them for a while and eventually realised they were genuine forums Also if you've not had a particular brand of watch before and don't know anyone local to borrow one from, it makes sense to either buy a cheap one from a dealer, or a cheap one from M2M to see if you like them before spending $400 on a good one.1 point

Don´t worry, You´ve done well and find dozens of others. When looking for something different take a look at Toro´s hot section too and maybe at his PAM Arctos. Only recently got this Breitling Superocean Abyss 42mm, fine price and I have to say as an everyday watch it´s hard to beat: Rolexes You´ll want more than just 1 anyway, question is if the next is a Batman GMT, a Seadweller 16600, a vintage, the DSSD or..... There are so many, above is a TC1 point

A Big Bang is an unnumbered bezel with chrono dials, tourbillon, skeleton....It comes in Evolution or Arabic dials ( ie batons or numbers) I am not aware of any in 48 except rep fantasy models The Big Bang King is a 'diver' watch ie it has a marked bezel that rotates for diving purposes ... It is available in 45 and 48 and generally is an evo dial Then you have King Power which is 48 and has a fixed bezel with varying complications , chrono, rattropante, minute alarm etc Then you have the Ferrari style which is 45 And the newer QR models that are unico movement (not repped) and of course the Fusions the ladies sizes and the LEs and Tutti's etc Rep Makers vary and flaws etc vary too.... V6 is from the Tag maker and they make some of the better Big Bang models but it is model dependent then there is the H maker... Again they make some models that are better especially CF models... Though H movements aren't great overall... Flaws vary from bezel knurling (that's across all models and makers and an easy tell on the wrist) then you get AR variations, hand size variations, screws, height of crystal, overall finish of the dial including sub dial position and size/depth etc etc It all depends on the rep model and the maker dictates the flaws... General the V6 is considered generally the better versions but there are some models that are not as good... For me apart from the knurling, crystal, AR etc that can be spotted on the wrist... The biggest tell is the finishing especially the way the dial markers reflect in the light especially indoors... There is a look in the finish the gen has that the reps don't recreate ... But to spot that you would have to know Hublots... As I say that's just me Now please understand I am writing a very general post here... There is far more in the details, history, models etc..... But if I did all that I would be typing till tomorrow1 point

I always wonder just what a guy who says that Angus ain't helpful or friendly must have done or said to get a negative response... The one thing I know of Angus is he is a very polite and courteous guy especially for a guy from the Chinese dealers.. As they can come across as curt or short due to language differences... But Angus speaks better English than me... So I can only think that any guy saying that is truly the customer from hell (because Angus can take a llot of crap and moaning and still remain courteous )or he hasn't been speaking to Angus...and found himself dealing with a clone site or talking to one of guys that doesn't speak a lot of English and is not used to the short para phrasing in replies....1 point
