  1. I agree with the noob. most members here are shills for rep dealers. Big deal every audio type forum is filled with that, good information costs money, in rep world info is part of the cost of the watch. SO time is money- who wants to wade around for 30-40 hours to buy something worth sub $1k? ANSWER: NO one, just broke ass analytical people. rep shills here should be consistently updating and doing reviews and such- when you look at this forum and you see a sub review from 2010, almost 5 YEARS ago.... maybe, just maybe their may be something better out there. I don't come here that often because of that, it takes a ton of time to troll thru all the posts, most of the pics are broken and [censored] changes. give him a top 3 list, pros and cons and let him spend his money.
  2. Are there any reviews or information about these new Asian copy swiss rolex 3186 the one with the 2 red Teflon gears? are they real gears or just dummy ones?
  3. It's kind of funny everyone like this and yet it has no prestige brand. No one is going to say is that a real Tudor? wow! I think when you don't care what brand it is and you still like it, that's when it is real. they should have done the ad with this car. both classics that got remade.
  4. Hey is this bad boy being or going to be rep'ed? For the price I would even buy this as a gen. what do you guys think?
  5. I had a date sub years ago, and I liked it at the time but the weak point is the bracelet- that sheet metal clasp really sucks and the back is so plain. Tried on the gen DSSD and it improves the sub, but the size on the back and the tiny tapered bracelet kills it for me, I would buy the rep but only because it's so cheap. I think that is the thing, if you make enough to not worry about dropping 5k like it is to drop 500 bucks then get the gen. Percentage wise 5k out of 100k net per yr. is still 5% of your net yearly income, kind of a big deal. But I want to see the seiko marine master- http://www.higuchi-inc.com/sbdb001.html everyone said is is so far above the rolex fit and finish wise. My rolex always ran about 5mins fast a month, would I purchase it again, probably not. Rolex's also have the highest appeal among middle management, and I don't fit into that niche. Also my taste has migrated to around 42mm-44mm sizes, I have a rep explorer and it is so small I don't bother wearing it anymore.
  6. plus, with the recession... forget about it for a couple of years. besides, most of these small co's sell a shitty look alike products. don't waste your time. I also have looked at it and ran the numbers and like the other poster said, it is not worth the time. get a paper route, or try the grey thing but 150-300 bucks a watch too low % for me. This is the site that promotes all these micro brands; http://forums.watchuseek.com/ all hurting designs made by the same case maker; http://www.w-fricker.de/ if you want to see what real watch making is about read these articles; http://www.tp178.com/tg/dufour/dufour.htm http://www.thepurists.com/watch/features/i...four/index.html Read everything you can about this guy and you will feel so embarrassed of even thinking about putting out more of the same [censored] that everyone else is. 7. I am so dissapointed I actually tried on a gen full size PO. I was thinking about getting the gen as a treat for myself and I wanted to see it in person. I cannot believe how badly it feels and is made- cheap, no super cheap sounding and feeling bezel. clunky junky movement, the rotor sounds like junk. and the bracelet, mah. over all it feels like a cheap bulova sub. my 10 buck rolex rep feels better. I guess I have been spoiled by seiko and other high end non omega reps.
