    Coupled with the Valgranges copy in TTK's Chopard GTXL, we're in for a great run of Chinese movements, I reckon.

    The reason they didn't show up before is that everyone wanted ETAs in quantity. Now that option is disappearing, the good clones are getting ramped up, possibly even from the same assembly lines ebauching the 2836/24 today. :D

    Are we sure that it's a Valgranges copy, rotor shape aside?

    It looks an awful lot like the rotor bearing assembly from several seagull models...

  2. I am still curious why all luminor-cased PAMs (that don't use the 1950 style case) seem to have crooked crowns.

    I'm pretty sure that every PAM from the factory comes with a crown/cg combination that yields a crown thats canted inwards on the 'top' - the 12 side of the case....

    It's funny to see that we can get such precision workmanship on things like the Big Bang etc. but can't get a CG/crown that lies straight...
