I have a Davidsen 1938a and after playing around with some of the inside bits, it aint working no more. Is there anyone here based in Oz who can fix my baby? Regards Tom

[i love my d200 and i have the 17-35mm and the 70-200mm lens and the tc14e teleconverter. would highly recommend for sport as 5fps rocks.

an olympus for $800! skip it and go nikon d40 or maybe d80.

you may be referring to me. i have a caseback at a friends as we type and he is engraving with a CNC mill. I will post pics when he returns it to me.

don't know however i am getting a friend to put the kampf schwimmer and 1945 on the blank case back with his cnc mill.

Just got my new strap for my watch, a Mario Paci XI. I love it and the buckle is great. My new gen Speedy is getting ZERO wrist time and feels small after wearing this sucker. It's got a few deep scratches but I am awaiting a tube of Polywatch and a nice polish cloth that should fix them up. New_Image.BMP

well it would be silly of me to assume that 35mm cameras weren't used at all by pros and in one of my previous posts I stated that famous photos have been taken with dispoable cameras, maybe even point and shoot digitals! But what i was alluding to is that a professional who soley does landscape work would not exclusively use 35mm, far from it. I real pro could take great photos with a pin-hole camera. I have a pro 35mm camera myself and that's all i use and i don't profess that it would take better pictures than an amatuer camera such as an F100, it is just more durable. well that's what the majority of pro slr's are designed and used for.

i wasn't directing my post to you pug, i've seen some of your photos and they're great. most people think that if they upgrade their camera from 4 to 5mp that it will produce better pictures. the difference between 5mp and 8mp is negligable and at normal size is the same to the naked eye. Becasue cameras are stated by salesman and camera company's in MP you need to know that it is a con designed to sell more cameras. This MP figure is acheived by multiplying the horizontal pixel count by the vertical pixel count. Therefore, to get any visual improvement on prints of say 6"x8" prints, you will need to quadruple the MP figure of a camera. Of course if you are taking photos for a billboard, then you may need a Canon 16MP, but then again, do what the pros do and shoot large format.

Some of the famous photos taken around the world have been taken by amatuers with amatuer equipment. If you cannot take good photos atm with a 5mp camera, don't think that buying a "better" camera will help you take better photos. a new camera will only make things more convenient. Sure lenses are important but at standard print sizes, it really doesn't matter. BTW there isn't a professional photographer worth his salt that uses a 35mm SLR or digital equivelant for landscape or portrait work. they are good for general, sports or wildlife.

Well I just bought a gen Speedy moon watch so I guess that's my choice.
