  1. The point is: There should be tools for knurl according to DIN. The manucature should understand, that the knurl in the british/australian drawing exactly is a DIN knurl and therefore use DIN tools to reduce time and money needed for the production. An individual knurl requires individual tools causing "individual" prices...

I think T can point it out to the manufacturer that he

  2. I am excited too :)

T: have you used my handdrawn design including the DIN standards?

One of V's crown guards and a set of correct cannon pinions are here allready. A superlumed DSN dial with matching hands should arrive these days and I have a 111h from precious time on its way. Quite looking forward to built my new PAM :)

We compared the drawings and went with the previous one as it allredy has been sent to and accepted by the maufacturer. Somehow the got through the differences and managed to undestand the british/australian standards for the drawings. But I guess we will use the DIN drawings for the next run.

  3. Replicas actually allow me to work at my watches by myself which is a major part of the fun for me. Doing some mods really can be done for fun, not just for making it look more like the gen so you can make people believe you

  4. It is definitely a scratch. When I saw it, I spent 5 minutes trying to polish it out with my t-shirt - it is still there. No clue how it happened.

I will contact David re sapphire crystal. Would David's crystal fit Joshua's case?

I have just looked up Dremel. It seems there are a million different varieties of the unit and accessories. Which accessories would I need?

    Thanks mate.

Do you have a foto? if it

  5. Our forums are mainly intended to protect rep buyers from scammers, not to protect gen buyers from being scammed with reps. That's why the hardcore gen lovers don't like us too much and as a consequence we try not to rub it in their face how good our reps are. So whatever Navi posted, he draw unnecessary attention to us.

Well, we frequently report auction scams as well. There is a rule that applies to both stories: Reps are fun, fraud is not!

    But of course there

  6. Now this is how a nice biz man thinks!!! DRINKS for everyone, bar is open!!!

Nice to see mr T that you will bring this to the forum, V is bringing the cg and you the crown, PERFECT!!! NICE work mr T and mr V...

    Everything is fine, now we

  7. ok

i got this info from Flavor Flav today about the finish:

it is all polished top, brushed side and inside where the lever strikes

what does mean in german??? Any german members could help me please?

    DIE KRONE IST KOMPLETT GEB

  8. I am assuming they will be a better version of the palp. Well made and designed to slide right into the rep case tube so they are no fuss no muss. Worst case you are adjusting the lever slightly which can be readily done by anyone who has a file. :thumbsupsmileyanim: Great project T.

Better than Palp - the outer dimensions were taken from a gen crown and only slightly changed where function demanded these changes for our reps. But, different from the Palps, for example the recessed area at the outside of the crown is allmost as deep as with the gen. If the CG and lever setup works correctly with a standard rep crown it will do the same with these ones. Promised!

  9. Maybe I missed the initial discussions on these.. are these going to be sprung? Also will the o-rings be outside like the genuine crowns, which really requires a new tube, or will they be designed to fit the rep tube with the o-rings inside that?

Designed to fit the standard rep tube without any need to work the tube or case. A spring would increase the diameter again so it won

  10. Ok i need help again

what is the finish on the PAM crowns? I have no more here on my stock to check it.

    it is complete "brushed"???

what is the exact finish of the crowns... i know "satin - finish" but what does this mean in german??? Is it the same like "brushed" (matt geb

  11. ...when the guy sitting next to you on first/coach class makes a compliment on your watch as he is wearing the exact same timepiece as you. After a few more words you find out he is wearing a $400 rep so well built that only a well trained eye can tell the difference between his and your $8K gen.

As some of the members in this forum my collection includes both low end gens and reps. However, owners of solely hi-end gen collections may not be aware of such good reps on the market. With this said...

Isn't this one of the reasons why some hi-end gen owners get so irritated when some idiot starts commenting and loading pics on gen forums about how perfectly replicated his $400 rep is?

Would it feel disappointing seeing many people wearing such an exclusive watch, eventhough is a rep and can't tell the difference?

    Again, How would you feel?

    That

  12. OOps. Appologies - had taken J-C at his word and hadn't picked up his joke.....

Here's hoping this gets sorted out quick in the forums.

It will be a real shame if it does turn out to be our man here and in RG...

Appologies to Admin, Mods and all for my misleading wrong pick-up of the real content......and thanks for the quick correction Fish.

No problem, allways glad to help out. If anybody wants this whole topic translated, don

  13. Same issue is being discussed in RG right now.....

They're trying to decide if it is the forum member of the same name and spelling (using an e and not an o).

Will be interesting if said member makes any statement in RWG or RG, or not.......

Seems this person is trying to promote selling reps, as in RG they've translated the German into something like "I paid

  14. Nothing wrong with keeping fellow watch lovers from beeing scammed. However, posting a full review of a rep on a gen forum should never be done! The standard rep serial number would have been well enough for them!

  15. Hope you insurance covers at least a good part of the losses. Four your Fiddy that only adds to its personal value. You see, life goes on. Most stuff is just temporary, but there are a few things that are ment to be with you for a lifetime. At least you got a good story to tell about the watch. Now it is no longer just a rep watch but a symbol for getting through hard times with your head held high.

From now it can only get better. Wish you all the luck you need to recover soon from that bad times.

  16. For me its really difficult to see the difference between the rep CG and V'sCG in the pics above that V has provided.

    Can someone enlighten me?

Well, have you ever seen a correct H-series CG on a rep? This is the first one and probably the only one we will see in the near future, well a few of them... ;)

Next to the replicated CG is the original that gave its dimensions for the specifications for manufacturing. Which one is the gen?
