  1. Ah legend - you've put my mind at rest - i was gutted when i saw that at first. Now i know that a sweeps ok :)

Also noticed the OEM dial is a bit shinier, i.e. the light reflects off of the waves more. Also as everyone knows the HE valve is higher and i thought noticeably so.

    Cheers by-tor!

  2. Click click clickety clack, my friend.

One-way bezels were introduced as a safety feature after it was found that the old two-way bezels on dive watches could be bashed, moved, and give bad timings during a dive. Now bezels have a one-way "click" and they fail "safe" when bumped... they read more bottom time or less air time than reality, depending how you're reading the watch.

Ah thats good news - mine clicks :)

    Cheers buddy!

  3. Nice watch, as seamasters are (I have a the gen smp pro blue), but I can't understand why someone would want a watch with markings depicting a person, especially a fictitional one

Kinda cheesy imho... It's like wearing a Mickey mouse watch sans fun.

Yeh i agree with this. I can see why some people like it but i would much prefer the base model, which consiquently i have!

Before i started to really learn about watches gen & rep i thought the 007 watch was a fake fantasy watch!

  4. I soaked my bracelet in 3-in-1 oil, really worked it into the bracelet and left overnight. Then cleaned it up with soap and a tootbrush, then it was silky smooth.

BTW - The PT SMP I got doesn't like its bracelet cleaning with anything abrasive (they might all be like this). I did it and took off the brushed finish! Looked pretty good but not like original. You can put it back but its a real bugger to do and takes a couple of hours. Learnt my lesson and won't be doing that again :D

I think all of the crowns are a bit wobbly so don't worry about it, with a bit of calibrating I've got mine down to +- 3 seconds a day so don't need to take out the crown that often :)

Ah ha that sounds like a plan i'll give that a go!!!

  5. Buy both :thumbsupsmileyanim:

    No...sorry, on a serious note:

I had the 111 which i sold to my dad, then i bought the 127 with the proceeds. The 111 looks quite big anyway i think yet it is a lovely watch. The 127 looks VERY big, not sure on my wrist size but it looks big, see pic. Everyone at work says, whoah thats a big watch, but they all love it. I prefer now to wear my seamaster under my shirt, and not sticking out :D

So go for the 127 in my opinion but if your really unsure stick to the smaller 111 they're both gorgeous!
