Great link, thanks. That makes far more sense. Got some new A*F drivers on the way, so will tackle it then. If they're small enough of course.
ETA say 'do not wash' in the guide? Does that include a one dip? I won't put it in the ultrasonic for sure.

Ta guys. You must be getting bored of my 'how do I...' At least you're willing to help Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Good minds think alike. I ordered the pilot strap
-
And how do you get that off??
-
How do you get the rotor off though? There are no screws? Noted re the grease. I had read that the möbius option was a good one. I have some one dip arriving today so hopefully that will help. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I don't even have one. But, I do love them. You have my vote Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

It's a superb rep yes. I imagine its not a massive seller. But, they created a V2 so it must be a reasonable seller. Most people go for the obvious reps. I love e XVI so it was easy for me. Simple beauty Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Anyone else experience a noisy rotor on these? Got an IWC XVI today and it has the 2892 movement. I know rotors can be noisy so don't go down that route. However, this one sounds particularly grindy?
I've been spoilt with my gen sub. You can't hear a peep from that.
I want to take it off to grease the bearings but have no idea how to get it off. I'm used to the screw down rotors.

It arrived. Beautiful piece. I'm very happy

The XVI V2 is the shizzle

IWC XVI. Love it.

The XVI V2 is very accurate if its just that style you're after. The XVII looks very good. Like others have said, on a similar thread, the crown looks a tad large

Will do. Need to get that one dip stuff. I didn't clean the spring etc having read about rust etc. probably doesn't help!
-
Well ask them? I've seen that on quite a few sites

Thanks MD. That is exactly what I used. It was very useful. Just doesn't explain what Rolexman is talking about
Asian 2892 rotor removal. Noisy.

I've bought some 9010/2 and D5 figuring I will use them for most servicing needs. They'll both be adequate for the 6497 movements that I've been working on.
