This is what I build , just sharing !
Sharing is great! The more the merrier....... Great looking sub!
That's one sick sub and kudos on the great shots, wow!!!
Hey Eton, not sure whether youre referring to me or "goin" but thanks either way mate!
-
Its got the best of everything!! Really beautiful. Thanks for sharing, enjoy!!
-
I think it has.....bezel brushed and dots polished....
Interesting bezel. Has it been refinished?
-
WOW! Looks like a whole new watch now. Much better in DLC......
-
but still a good looking watch
Beautiful...and Great Pics...
Suggested mods include:
1. Polish the bezel dots...Be sure to secure them good...They have a tendency to fall out.
2. If you wanted...You can also shave a tiny bit off the dots to make them just a bit more shallow.
3. Dental floss mod on the bezel...If it isn't done already. Makes it nice and tight...Click much better for me.
Other than the larger engraved numbers on the dots and HE...It is a Stunner!!!
Looking at your pics again...It looks like most (if not all) of these mods were already done.
Hey TST, thanks for your comments (totally heeded after seeing your collection of PAM's - great 243 too, im looking for a nice strap for mine too)!
WRT "1." the bezel dots: do they actually come off? Well if you say they fall out then I assume they do! How do you take them out (if I wanted to polish them further? Im not sure about shaving them though.....dont think I have the right tools.....
But yeah, the bezel does need tightening - so that has to be done!
Other than that its a "fully modded" watch with a serviced movement, CG mods, etc etc etc So yeah, you know your stuff!
Thanks mate.
Also looks like this has a thicker font date wheel already installed- the biggest plus!
Yes it does

Hey TST, these vintage watches are soooooooo gorgeous, but I dont get projects like these? Have these watches (at some point in the past) actually been created? Or are these watches that watch lovers create to their own personal taste? 1st and 3rd are my favourite........

Got this today........
-
.......a few more pics.......
Thanks

Hi guys.....
Hope everyones very well.
Have always wanted a Panerai Submersible......so I picked this bad boy up in the trade area
Not sure whether there have been any in-depth comparisons (gen v rep), but as far as I can tell (from looking at photos on the net) the biggest flaws are:
(1) The bezel. The dots are bigger on the rep bezel (and sometimes not flush on one edge as should be). Ofcourse, the lume dot too. Looks smaller on the gen with a thicker "lip".
(2) I think the "He" valve on the side of the case is slightly bigger on the rep too.
(3) Lug profile shape - they seem to curve slightly downwards at the tip (on the gen).
However all in all its a fantastic looking watch, great wrist presence, looks the business, quite hefty!
Now for a few pics....(we are only allowed 20 in a single post right?).....What do you guys think?
Thanks for looking.
Rgds

Awesome collection TST! Im loving the "002" on the vintage........

Congrats Eunomians. The Survivor dwarfs the EoD's! Its really growing on me, I just wish theyd not made the crown protector thingies the way they did (and maybe designed screw in type protectors maybe) then Id definitely get one. Awesome non-the less!
-
Thats a beauty of a watch right there TST! Is the dial meant to be blue or purple though? Either way, its a looker. Wear it well
-
I HATE YOU GUYYYYYSSS!!!!! I really want a 187 now..........

Very nice comparison Cougar! Im definitely a braceletaholic and believe most 'lings belong on one. I bought a gen pro II for my SA (but never had the chance to get the feel of the rep).....it does look like good "bang for the buck" though........
-
Man what a story! Ive got tears in my eyes HUGE congrats on the wedding, good things happen to good people. Wonderful gesture from Giorgio and Federico.
All the best.

Beautiful photos everyone. Pugwash that sunset over the field is stunning! Heres a sunset I took a couple of days ago from my flat window - the colours were amazing!!!!
I took three photos and "stitched" them together to make a panorama using PS elements - my first time trying this.......
For some reason I cant get a bigger version of the file up!
-
Definitely photos that capture emotion! Love them thanks for sharing the link PS .

Thanks DenzO and coolfire

these watches screem to get repped i relay like them , kinda very cool
I read the machining process for the cases is extremely complex.........if the factories work that one out then would be grea tto have these repped.....

I dont wear gold otherwise Id have one of these for sure. Such a stunning watch. Congrats Mickey, the HBB def deserves those upgrades Enjoy!
