Its never going to be perfect (especially in comparison to gen) but hey, its $450 I personally LOVE this watch - felt great to handle and look at. Major thing for me would be DW (but as Deniz says its not that bad in reality) and the endlinks being brushed on the topside......If they can sort these out then we have a pretty decent rep!

HEHE nice pics bro Guys, Ive held this exact watch......and its honestly amazing!! The over all build quality is superb, the tungsten bezel is sweet!!!! Definitely a must have!
Enjoy the watch DenzO!

Hi guys
Hope everyones well.
I wont make this long as there are already alot of threads and info about the Omega PloProf.
Just picked one up from a member. This is the Vac V2 version. I had never thought I would ever warm to the PloProf, but after seeing "Ploprof_man"s reviews / photos I couldnt resist myself...........and boy am I glad I did (...........well, after trying on the gen first).
I must say, one of the best reps I have owned (which was a total surprise to me), and I absolutely love it.
Positives:
(1) Overall build quality (as a rep) is great
(2) Looks gen: sweet glossy dial. The hand and bezel button colour are quite spot on and have that fiery metallic finish as the gen.
(3) Hefty and feels gen
(4) GORGEOUS!!!!
Flaws / negatives (please note these are extremely minor):
(1) CLASP: feels a bit "reppy". Slightly loose where it locks, doesnt have a gen click either - not a bad effort. Engravings not bad either, but ofcourse not as sharp as the gen.
(2) The print of the "He" on the He valve isnt as crisp as the gen.
(3) The bezel numbering is ever so slightly grey (whiter on gen). I believe this is because the lume is applied to the bezel rather than the back of the insert (a few of the members have a mod for this though)
(4) Application of the lume in the dial markers is slightly "clumsy" - again, hardly noticeable with the naked eye.
Apart from the above the V2 PP is a fantastic watch and a joy to wear every day.....:cheesy:
Now for pics!!!

im looking to get one too.
csk is right, its subjective, and all the points he stated are pretty true. The rep clasp on mine (although looks really good) still has that rattly / slightly loose rep feel - but still its wearable.
Tried a gen on, clicks nicely, no rattle, feels solid etc etc so id say its worth the money.......plus you dont have to worry about when its going to give / break or fall off
Jeremy: where did you buy yours from?

Yeah me too. That is one beautiful Autavia, isn't it?
Me three! WOW!
This has gone on to my must have wishlist! If a Doxa and a Tudor Heritage had a baby - this is the watch youd get. LOVE it! Some great versions too

You are always an inspiration when it comes to great photos! Wonderful
You actually had to wait 1hr 15mins and 43mins for the orbiting star photos?

YOU, my friend, are what we call a LUCKY B*****d

This MONSTER is growing on me.......wear it in good helth!
I thought the PP would NEVER grow on me, but I tried the gen on and LOVED it - and then picked up a V2 on the sales forum on the same day!! Cant wait to receive it, looks like an awesome rep (I know it still has minor issues though).
Congrats Marty, looks gorgeous. Wheres the mesh???
-
YES, its a YES watch! Very cool pieces of kit. Tells moon times, tides, sunrise, day time, night time etc etc etc
-
Congrats Seraphe. Looks gorgeous and well made....again, its a mass produced rep so its not going to be perfect, but its good enough Im definitely going to be getting one.......
