  1. I recently received a Tag Carrera from Ruby and I
  2. I'm considering a 4th gen 42mm PO with the steel bracelet. However, I'm a little concerned about the gap between the links attached to the watch and the next links along the bracelet. Searching around I've seen some pics where it looks huge and others where it's barely noticeable. Anyone know why this is? Is there a fix? Do the bracelets vary? Has the problem been resolved on later watches? If it's still a problem, how obvious is it when the watch is on your wrist? Any info gratefully received. Any photos of the problem or wrist shots would be appreciated. (Oh, and before anyone suggests it, I don't fancy a rubber or leather bracelet, nor a UPO!)
  3. Regarding UK law, the only thing I
  4. With my first rep I've just been telling people that it's a rep. After all, I got it because I like the looks of it, not because I want people to think I've spent (or can afford to spend) a small fortune on a watch. It's fun to let them admire the watch for 15 seconds or so before confessing, though. As others have said, the reaction you get is priceless. People seem genuinely impressed that a replica can look so good - and that you've managed to acquire said replica. In fact, they're probably more impressed than they would be if you were simply wearing an expensive watch that you'd just walked into a jewellers and bought! Here's another question, though. What about if you're not being called out, but your watch just catches someone's eye and they say, "Ooh. That's a nice watch. What is it?" Do you say, "It's an XYZ," or do you say, "It's an XYZ replica"?
  5. By popular demand, I've added pics of my watch to my lead post in this thread. (My goodness, getting decent pics of a watch is hard work!) Power reserve info also added.
  6. Cheers for the reply, Mitton Mar. Great info. So the rep and gen are the same diameter, but it's just an optical trick that makes the gen look bigger... I can see exactly how the dial being more recessed on the rep would give this impression, too.
  7. Hi everyone. Well, I recently bought my first rep, a hand-wind Speedmaster Pro
