  1. Some more pics. It is hard to get daylight up in Sweden during wintertime. As you can see the bezel shifts colour from almost white to dark grey depending on the light and angle. I like that. What one could consider is to buy a Tungsten bezel. Kimerathon at repgeek mentioned this. But I'm satsified with this PVD-bezel.
  2. I have no experience of HBB before. I have only studied the watches via the net and in these fora. I have bought: * Big Bang Black Magic Lite - Ceramic Bezel, at Puretime for 328 $. This watch is for a friend of mine. I ordered a brushed bezel but got a polished . * Big Bang Ice bang all ceramic, at BBhaven for 728$. This watch is for myself. I bought this after I bought the watch above but I was very hesitant. I like both of them but i'm most impressed by the Lite due to the pricing. If you are considering a Hublot and you don't exactly what Hublot model you want I would pick Big Bang Black Magic Lite. Of course I like the Ice Bang more (the dial, AR, strap and bezel) - I paid 400 $ more. But I think the finish is as good on the Lite version as on my Ice Bang. A small review of the Ice bang. Everything looks OK. The strap is softer than the textured one on the Lite. Is there any noticable difference between the PVD-coated parts and ceramic parts on the Ice Bang? Yes a little more metallic finish on the Ice Bang and I assume the ceramic keeps it's finish after some use. On small flaw. I think the fit of the middle part of the case does not fit perfectly. It protrudes 0,5 mm. Compare the pictures. The Lite watch looks almost ugly with too much red marks on the picture, but this is not impression in real life. Then it is darker and the red marks are not so prominent. Still this was on main reason why I wanted the Ice Bang. The bezel on the Ice Bang does not have that sharp upper edge like on the Lite watch. I have read that this edge could tear your clothes. (Is it possible to smooth down with i.e diamond knife sharpener? ) How about the AR? The AR is good fine on the Ice bang. Still the single AR on the Lite is OK. It is absolutely not worth 200 $.
  3. It seems that the version sold now has a correct strap, but the case does not look ok.
  4. The ceramic version has one disadvantage - the case is not close to the original. The middle part of the case (over strap) should be brushed. I think that is important - the designer has thought of the contrasts between brushed and shiny, between materials and so so on.
  5. Has anybody tried Hublot Luna Rossa from Hontwatch? Is the quality OK? I can't find any comments/reviews neither here or in Repgeek. What could be of inferior quality, AR, CF dial, buttons, clasp,... or nothing? I recently bought a Hublot to a friend - a Black Magic Lite from Puretime. I think the quality is excellent. ( I have no experience of Hublots before just Omega and IWC). No quality issues at all! It keeps the time in my winder. Also I think the AR is good, especially considering it is single sided (so I think there is no reason to buy to more expensive version). I don't want to buy exactly the same watch so I'm considering the Luna Rossa.
  6. Poulpy maybe you can give me an advice or two? I intend to buy either a HBB RG Ceramic bezel or a Tuiga Courchevel. I assume the the RG is the most replicated HBB and should be at a good standard. I guess they know to to make it. I like the look of the Tuiga better, but it is not so common and maybe not authentic enough. When did you buy your replicas? Don't you think I can expect better replicas today? And also what should I have to watch out for - design wise? Maybe I'll buy the watch from Eurotimez. He claims that he does checks of the most obviuous things like loose/missing screws. And he delivers from EU. I have bought two Rolexes from him and they were excellent. /Mikael
  7. I wonder what is "High Quality Deep Carbon Fibre Black Dial" that watchmark is selling. Are there different versions of the dial? Which one is considered to be the best? I can also see that the date window sometimes is better on the rep than on the gen. Compare the attached picture from the gen:
  8. I left my brandnew A7750 watch for a service to a certified watchsmith ( replicafriendly ! ) here in Sweden since my datewheel was misaligned . At the same time I wanted it totally serviced. She has never worked with an A7750 only ETA7750 and I asked for general opinions about it since it is so much discussed here at RWG. She said A7750 was very close to the gen and it was not obviously worse. But the material was of lesser quality than the gen (
  9. I have been on a vacation trip to Montenegro with my Rolex Super Seadweller. I refuse to handle this kind of watches with care even if it is a Rolex replica and I never took it off. I was swimming in very salty water. I was never anxious about water resistance - but I was worried about corrosion. And I can say after two weeks there was no sign of rust on the watch itself and the strap. But still there were signs of rust coming from the pins. I would recommend to change them since the quality seems not to be OK (soft material) and they were hard to remove probably due to corrosion. (I couldn't compress the spring pin.) Also you can see that the black colour on the letters in the caseback does not withstand water! Have a look at the pictures.
  10. Does this problem regard original ETA date wheels also? I have bought an original ETA datewheel from watchpart in UK and now I have asked a watchsmith to change the datewheel on my A7750 while servicing it. Will he run in to problems?
  11. I tried to photo when resetting and when the back was removed. Now it seems that the chrono is broken :-(. The reason why: See the attached photo. This arm fell out of the watch. Now the start and stop button seems not to work. The reset button seems to work fine. I'm not able to take a photo of this part in the movement when resetting but it looks OK - an arm is clearly moving. But as I said before the start/stop button does not engage/work anymore. I assume the loose arm has someting to do with the chrono.
  12. OK I'll take some pictures. Do you want me to open upp the back? Are there parts that should be visible? I'm thinking of the rotor /Mikael
  13. I have received my first replica an IWC 3717 with steel bracelet and an Asian 7750 movement. My impressions (I have never owned an original so...): * It is really nice and it gives s solid impression. Heavy. * It keeps the time, maybe + 1 min /day. * The twelvemarker and 3-marker are not perfect but almost. This can be a problem with this model. Compare my photo, These 4 markers (12-3-6-9) seem to be glued manually to the dial. * It is watertight. Anyway I can shower and take a bath with it. * The chrono is not OK with this A7750. This happened almost immediately to me. It sometimes fails to reset. So my conclusion is: If you intend to use the chrono don't buy it with an A7750; I will avoid it.
  14. I have bought an IWC 3717 with an A7750 movement. The watch works OK since a week (+1-2 min/day though). I have tried the chrono and it works OK, starting and stopping. But at some occasions the reset does not work. The first time it happened after 10 tries, then it happen a week later. Either it does not reset at all, sometimes it resets half the back to twelve, and sometimes it stops anywhere else (ie passes 12 and stops at eight o'clock,..). The subdials also fails to reset. When it works it stops exactly at 12. Last time I had to struggle a lot (Let the watch run for many hours or the chrono, adjust the watch via the crown/stem and then again try to reset.) I have tried this without being too rough. I have not changed the dates when the time had been between 9-3, I have not reset the chrono when running it. My questions: 1. Why is this happening? Is something broken? Or is it not lubricated? 2. Is it common? Is common on swiss movements or is only A7550? 2. Can it get worse? Is it dangerous to retry when it fails? Right now I don't dare to touch the chrono anymore. At least I have a decent watch to tell me the time, but it is annoying that the chrono is not working properly. When reading around in RWG I can see that some think the quality is poor on A7750 movements, but others claim the quality is very good. Right now I at least can not recommend A7750. Regards Mikael
