  1. Hello.

About this time last year my navitmer 7750 stopped working.

I sent it to a guy called Fransisco is Spain via this boards pm contact. He duly fixed it and I was happy. But he no longer seems to be around and Unfortunately one of the chrono hands has fallen off now.

So I'm either looking for someone who can repair service my watch (I'm UK based) or a link to a video which explains how to remove the glass from the watch, allowing me to get to the chrono hand.

Any help advice is really appreciated - I love this watch, and don't want to lose it!

    Cheers

  2. Here is my 3717 - From King. Great Dealer, great watch.

I already bookmarked your thread!! I might go for some modifications myself once it arrives. Will definatley get an AR coating (not sure if 1 or 2 coats yet) - the AR on my Breitling is awesome.

Thanks for comments & advice all. Must admit, steel bracelet is my preference, and the I would use Waccex/Bob for leather straps.

By the way - Silik Prime are also pretty good from customer service, but on this occasion, I think I'll use King.

  3. Hi, Previously I've been buying Breitling, but I'd loving the 3717 - it looks great in all the pictures, so I've decided I'd like to buy a 7750 rep.

I've got two choices for purchase, but, before I do, I thought it might be wise to run the two choices over with any experts out there.

    It's either this:

    http://www.silix-prime.com/iwcs035-p-2084.html

    or this:

    http://www.kingshowbox.com/goods.php?id=3542

I'm pretty sure both are trusted rep sellers. Ideally, I'd go for the Steel strap.

Can anyone see any reason to use one seller and not the other?

    Many thanks in advance...

  4. That is for a full service on a A7750. Completely tearing the movement apart, cleaning it and reassembling it with 5 different kinds of oil/lube.

If it is some thing simple, then it is going to be cheaper then that. Was working on another members watch over the weekend that had just stopped... After de-casing the movement I remove the balance..the hacking lever had broken off from the sliding pinion and was wedged up against the balance wheel. Pulled the broken hacking lever piece out and reinstalled the balance...she fired right up.

From my limited experience there are a couple of piece in the chrono working that easy failures and when they go, they get lodged into the balance causing the movement to stop.

I like my watch so much, that I'd probably pay that.

Mike - drop me a PM if you can help me out.

  5. Hi, I've been using the forum for about 18 months and initially it helped me to decide to buy a Breitling Navitmer 7750 from one of our trusted sellers. After using Chieftangs(sp?) AR service, and purchasing Waccex straps I had a watch that looked extremely nice & I was proud of.

    Then disaster......

I took off to do the washing up, grabbed it and went to help put my little boy to bed, when I dropped it from about 4 foot onto our wooden floor.

Since then, it stopped working -((

So my question is - can anyone recommend someone who might take a look a it for me? (I'm willing to pay - I don't expect it for free!)

    or

Is it worth having it looked at, or do I just take the $250 hit & buy another?

  6. Thanks everybody for the kind words. I really enjoyed working on this, and now that its done I shall miss it. But, I have decided to make it an ongoing project and will be adding the Navitimer World next followed by the Montbrillant models later.

    Glad you all enjoyed it!

I'm interested in the Montbrillant. Are you close to being able to post anything just yet?

  7. My watch arrived today. A white face Breitling Navitmer Asian 7750 3-6-9 layout.

First impression - AWESOME! Looks the part, feels the part - I'm very pleased.

So, I now want to take good care of it. I'm sure I've seen on RWG links to guides on how to use the chrono functions

(I'm aware that over usage can bring the lifetime of the watch down).

Any links to this guide - I can't find it?

Also, should I wind the watch fully as ASAP?

Any help / advice is appreciated.

    Many thanks

  8. Hi All,

After some taking in the avice from some of you & looking at the picxtures, I finally decided on buying a Breitling Navitimer from one of our suggested UK dealers. This one:

    I didn't order from TrustyTime

The watch hasn't arived yet, and before it does I'm trying to get a nice Black leather BOB deployment strap for it.

Having read through a few threads I've got myself totally confused with what size strap I need to get.

I had it in my head I needed a 22mm like this one

    Waccex

I've not ordered yet - please help my confusion & advise what size I need!

    Cheers

    Dave

  9. Hi,

I'm fairly new to the forum and recently took the plunge with a Breitling Rep from Precious Time.

I'm now looking for a Tag and have fallen in love with watch below.

Does anybody know where I can get good reps like below. I've looked at Perfect Clones, Silik Prime & Trusty Time so far, but I'd really like the below rep.

    Thanks.

  10. As I'm about to buy a Breitling rep, and change the straps about a bit, I'm going to need to buy a few tools to help me do this - Jewellers screwdriver etc etc.

Anyone care to suggest anything specific for a novice?

I've seen plenty of faily cheap bits out there, but being new to this, I'm not 100% sure if they all the same.

    Thanks in advance.

  11. Be aware that the 6-9-12 SS version, commonly referred to as the "Fighters" or "Series Special", is the least accurate of all the Navitimer reps. If you want the 6-9-12, stick to the two tone versions.

I've also been reading that the White dial Navitmer is a slightly better rep than the black dial when comparing the 3-6-9.

(1 of the things is that the slide rule is better aligned)

If this is true, can anyone comment where the Blue dial sits.

Cheers - I'm getting close to buying now - it's down to colour now - I know I want the Bob rep black strap, I know I want the 3-6-9 because I'm not that keen on the Two Tone, and the Fighter Series is not as good as the 3-6-9.

Down to dial colour & weather I go with Silix or Precious time!

So, do I go White Dial or does the blue dial match the white in terms of close match to the gen???

    Cheers
