  1. There is always risk in these things, it shows just how good a dealer Sash is by the fact that he views this as a shared risk. As for the delay ,if you don't have patience with collecting reps then you should not be doing it, I for one will wait and then work with Sash for a win win resolution if it does indeed turn out to have been seized.

  2. azgjav,

I can't make it out from the pics, but you say this has an engraved rotor ? From all the other pics that Angus et. al. have posted it looks like the writing has been applied and is actually raised from the surface of the rotor.

  3. Lovepanerai just posted a review of his IWC Chrono and has a very clear shot of the crown with the etched background. I have looked on the web at the Gens and cannot find a shot that clearly shows that they do not have this etched background so I may have to drop into an AD to take a closer look. In either case I think it is going to be very hard to polish this out without dulling the crown pattern.

  4. Try nail polish remover (soak the back, and then use a pointy toothpick to remove paint in the tight corners). It works for 1665 case backs, and it's more likely to be lying around the house...
I had a PAM005 with the black printing on the back and used nail varnish remover with a blunted toothpick to clean it off, it worked a treat.

If you have to go and buy some from the store then make sure you put on a big manly watch first ;)

  5. Just to clearify something:

    1. The current versions (1st and 2nd versions) does not have AR coating on the crystal, the 2nd version has a coating on the crystal to make the reflective light a bit blueish, it does not have the Anti-Reflective effect at all.

    2. On the coming 3rd version, a genuine AR coating will be applied, same technology used by Gneuine Swiss Watches, you can see from my HBB watches.

    3. Some improvements on this version:

    -1. Better finishing.

-2. Better sapphire crystal (not Chinese sapphire).

    -3. Genuine AR coating.

    -4. White-lumed hands

-5. Correct white colour on the white dial version.

    And more...

Because of HBB launches, this beauty will be prosponed to late Decmeber.

Hmm.. My better half already thinks I am getting obsessed by this watch collecting lark. If I get your 3rd Ver Graphite dial to complement my 2nd Ver White, do you think that would push her from the "thinking" phase into the out in the open "knowing" phase ?

In that state I may be forced to attend one of the GTGs, stand up in front and admit that I do a bit of replica from time to time, but hey it's not a problem, I can handle it ;)

  6. I'll try and post some pics later , however the version you posted must be an earlier one (see below)

    http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_p...roducts_id=1030

The one I have has the dual concentric rings on the dial, the concentric rings on the subdials and the same date window border as the one shown by Angus. The only difference as far as I can see is that "Automatic" is black on my version and red on Angus's.

  7. Unfortunately, due to a sudden death in my family, I will not be contactable for the next 24-48 hours, my apologies to anyone waiting on an e-mail reply or other business.
Family comes first, the rest of us watch buying public come somewhat further down the list. May our prayers go with you.

    Howdy!

I have a question regarding the bracelet on the new IWC Ingenieur. Ny bracelet just fell apart when I was watching a movie in my sofa. The welding broke! And no, I didn´t wrestle my wife when this happened...

Has anyone else had the same problem? What can I do now?

Also on the Ingenieur, is there a way to center and adjust the small hole (One of five) that is suppose to be just above the 12 o´clock mark? Now it is approx 1-2 mm wrong.

    Suggestions?

    Best regards!

    Jim

I received mine in the post with the clasp broken in the same place, it does seem to be a particular weakness in this bracelet. I got mine from EL who kindly me sent a complete new one when I informed him :)
