  1. Nice watch. Can you tell me where you got it and also do you know if anyone is selling the 2225.8 with the red seamaster. Thanks so much.
  2. Love this watch and it ooks like a pretty nice rep with the fonts pretty damn good. where did you get it from? Thanks
  3. Anyone know if the PO Chrono, SMP Chrono or the Speedmaster date / day-date come with a swiss movements anywhere? If so can you let me know where I can get them. Thanks
  4. Can anyone PM me or reply to this topic as to where I might be able to get a swiss movement version of the Panertai Ferrari range, specificall the Scuderia FER 008 and the GT Chrono in yellow. Any concerns also with the Asian 7750 in these models, from other forums seems I would want to avoid the asian movements if at all possible. Thanks
  5. Are there any swiss movements out there that would run seconds at 6?? Looking the Planet ocean Chrono and the Rolex Daytona but don't want to deal with the asian 7750 issues.
  6. is there any reason why reps can't be waterproofed. Can The Zigmeister waterproof for example. Anyone know how much that might be - PM me if preferred with that info. Thanks
  7. I am in the US, so who would be best given that. Also are there any customs issues I need to be aware of??
  8. Sounds like a good idea, but don't know how to set up a poll. Can anyone tell me??
  9. I guess asking another way, are there any watches that can be worn in the shower, go swimming etc. I see the Super Sea Dweller and the Steelfish Super Ocean are described as being waterproof. Any comments on that?? Cheers
  10. Are there any rep models out there that are truly waterproof from the factory. Also is it worth having them waterproofed or pressure tested by the guy selling it to you, e.g. Josh. Secondly do any of the Helium valves work on the reps or are they purely cosmetic. Thanks
  11. Thanks guys and gals. I'll take your advice and upgrade to a paid subscription. Lots to learn.
  12. I am still very new to this forum and tryiong to learn as much as possible. Is there any difference between the most respected dealers out there that are written about in these forums in terms of quality of product sold. Specifically are any of them particulalrly strong on certain brands. I am looking at Omega, Rolex, Breitling, and Panerai. Please PM me if you don't want to express views in the forum. Thanks to you all. This forum is a great help to uninformed newbies like myself.
  13. Thanks guys. The Zigmeister does that mean best movement to have would be the ETA 7750 or ETA 7753 for both seconds placement and date. Does the ETA have problems with seconds at 6 or not bnecause of the same thickness as unmodded version?? Also any problems with the Asian 7750 with dials in the 12,9,6 seconds at 9 or 9,3 with seconds at 9 as in some of the Panerai chronos?? Thanks again
  14. newbie question on the 7750 movement. I have seen many posts re problems with seconds at 6 with 3,6,9 sub-dial config due to modification. Does this same issue apply to 12,9,6 with seconds at 9, or 3,6,9 with seconds at 9 or, 9,3 with seconds at 3 or 9. Just trying to figure out if the 7750 is always modified for chronos or not and which would be best config to go for. If the 7750 always has problems, what are the other options out there that work well. Not looking to modfiy, just looking for best options off the shelf. Thanks, Iain
