  1. Hi Guys, Was just wondering where I could get my hands on a half link for the PO Chrono? Its the same old issue with it, take one link out and its too tight, put it back and its too loose. The Seamaster GMT I have has a half link and I guess thats what would work here too.... if only I could find one......
  2. Update...Jay contacted me and said I could send it back to him for repairs.. I frankly could not be bothered... I am never going to use the chrono anyway... not a good idea on asian movements i'v heard as well.. so... I just superglued the button on..! heh.. it works.. its just from the outside so if I even want to take it out (I dont think so) I would be able to dissolve the glue (somehow!)
  3. I just got a PO Chrono from Silix and everything worked fine for a day.... Today I was just testing the chrono and the bottom button just popped out! I can put it back in and it still resets (if I wiggle it around.. bad idea.. i know) But it just sits there and will quite possible fall of sometime in the day. Anyone had this problem before? or know how to fix it? Should I send it back to Jay? PS - on a completely different topic... can we get a half link for this bracelet? Not sure what the design is called but I have one with my Seamaster GMT and it resizes perfectly.. this one is either too loose or too tight... anyone?
  4. My point exactly... no-one here is reccomending anyone to take his/her rep into an AD... this simply started with a hypothetical statement from me when I was discussing the high quality of the 4th gen UPO... And I also agree with most everyone here... most AD's (atleast in the US and downunder) wouldnt be abe to spot a good rep on ur wrist and even if they had their doubts, they would keep it to themselves... they're too busy salivating over the commisions they think they are going to make when you buy a gen from them... not! At the end of the day, just to clear up where i'm coming from.... i'll probably still keep a good rep on my wrist when I goto an AD but I will NEVER take it off and hand it over to them for ANYTHING... even if there is a 5% risk... why risk it??
  5. Jeez guys... ever heard of hypothetically? I said I woundn't reccomend it, like I wouldnt reccomend you to knock our own tooth out with a hammer... what you do end up doing is upto you and out of my control... Also in my humble experienced opinion (and I wont go into details coz I know im not supposed to discuss it here) most AD's dont care.. they are there to make the sale, not police you... Almost everyone knows that the market for reps and genst is NOT the same... the guys who go for gens, wouldn't go for reps and the guys who buy reps mostly wont spend that kind of money to buy gens.. I know I wouldnt.. Getting a little over-excited here, aren't we?
  6. funny [censored]... though if the rep is that good out of the box.. imagine the possiblities with modding...u will be able to fool an AD then.. (wouldnt reccomend it though)
  7. Thats one sweet watch mate.. can I trouble you to tell us its size?
  8. Umm... maybe not! "Trademark violations: Counterfeit watches are divided into two groups. The first group comprises low-priced timekeeping imitations. A cheap counterfeit watch features the name of a prestigious brand, but lacks its design and functions. Trade-dress or Design Violations: The second group involves counterfeit watches designed to resemble the original (a trade dress violation). Some high-priced counterfeit watches are produced from better materials and have golden parts and leather straps. "
  9. Sounds good.. heres hoping trends dont change...
  10. This is for Australians.... I found the Customs website which bascially says that company's have to lodge a Notice of Objection if they want customs to stop and seize goods that infringe on their copyright/trademark. If the objection Notice is not there, Customs wont do a thing... This link has a list of all current companies and their trademarks which have current objections lodged.... Rolex & Tag are there but...Omega isnt there.. even IWC isnt there..... heh... "This is a list of the companies that presently have Notices of Objection in place with Customs under section 132 of the Trade Marks Act 1995. Where goods are imported into Australia and have applied to them a similar or identical trade mark that has been applied without the consent of the trade mark owner in Australia , they may be seized by Customs." http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=4683

  12. Hi Guys... I'm sure this has been asked and answered before (but I could'nt find the post) so I thought I'd ask anyway.. Is is illegal to buy a rep? I live in Australia right now ... I know its illegal to sell reps, but to buy and own one? There would be different laws in diff countries... any ideas about Australia..? for example I know that you are allowed to bring in one rep into switzerland if you live there and are returning from a trip...!! wierd..!!!
