Not sure if its appropriate, but here goes, Not too long ago, a trf member started offering these strap end links, ss is cheap to buy, he has prices posted, i got him to make me a custom 18k gold set, wasn't too cheap, but excellent!

Nice gen Heritages
They are excellent pieces!

Excellent collection mate. Though do you really need two ceramic blue subs?
One its TT, the other is WG
Is that 116520 with racing dial gen? Nice collection, congrats.
Its a gen wg racing dial in a gen stainless daytona

Bought the Comex 1665 from 5th_group 2 days ago, it now lives amongst its other rolex/tudor watches, taking turns on my wrist.
some pics of a temporary caseback, and oli's legendary caseback
found a mbw 1665 drsd caseback, using this temporarily until i get a correct caseback, oli's caseback is way too thick to fit well on my wrist.
Temp caseback
how to make it look better?

ray, you should find someone who does pad printing.
much better quality.
thanks for the advice!
i don't mind the kind of printing, as long as it looks accurate.

I have a gen dial coming in and wanted to know who do you guys trust with silk screening. I am looking to get a accurate Comex done onto a 1665 service dial.
-
way too fake, looks nothing like the gen i have. and who in the world pays full retail on a gold rolex.
-
i bought 2 poljot powered monte carlos years ago, no idea where the cases came from though.
-
Very nice, I like the silver hands better, a bit more understated that way.
all the hands are silver colored except for the big seconds, my silver big seconds hand was not reusable so they told me i needed a new one =/
-
That is a cool dial. On the hands why don't you just paint them yourself? It is going to be kind of difficult to time anything longer than 60 seconds.
the watchmaker suggested that, but i wanted to keep it all original parts
-
Intended to put in a red handset, but was missing a small chrono hand, so i only had the large seconds put in
Will probably add the remaining red hands in someday!
-
paid a hundred bucks for this watch http://invicta.chronoshark.com/images/product/large/1216_1_.jpg
can't see a thing on the dial, atleast you have a orange seconds hand.
-
ripoff indeed, a quick ip trace of this guy will probably lead you to where best swiss is located, or to some proxy service.

waiting on a custom alligator strap to replace the current one, it was sized for a small wrist. bezel is currently a bit tight, everything must be too new. need to have that checked out, don't think this piece will ever be for sale, this thing is 33 years old or so and its in amazing condition. if the seller ever finds the gold bracelet, which i would think its brand new and hidden away somewhere, i get first dibs as well.
will take some more pictures when i get home, this is my first yellow gold watch, at this price for a vintage, i thought this was too nice to pass up.
-
Picked up a 1680/8 gold watch, came on a croc strap with a gold daytona buckle. had a service where crystal and bezel were replaced, and the seconds hand from the looks of it. paid $5500 for this vintage piece, no box no papers. How does it look?
-
wow that is beyond weird to end up with something he doesn't even sell!!
on the side note, i ordered from him end of february, and i am still waiting on some items, because some arrived damaged
my 6263 case came with a chrono pusher off, and stripped threading on the case
my 6263 newman dial had broken pins on the back
my tudor 7032 dial had broken pins on the back
my 6239 a7750 came with the chrono hours hand is not aligned, and it has the wrong clasp on.
waiting for rectification of the matter, on early april he gave me a registered number, it was traceable since 4/19. hoping that the issue is resolved for me
it does seem to take david a while to get things done.

Love this watch, sucks that the one i have is running way out of spec, needs to get sent out for some service soon. Bought a burgundy dial version of this as a gen for $1200 2 years back, it was quite a catch.
-
I will post another pic later but it is visible from a foot or so away. the gap is less then 1mm but it is only one one side which makes it stick out.
rolex ad and rsc ny told me they don't see a problem, but rsc ny did replace the spring bar to see if it helps, but same issue.
this is a solid end link btw, not a hollow one. This is the newest daytona bracelet with the latest clasp.

he posted some of those bezels for sale at some point. they were listed at $600 each. his post said that he took a gen bezel and had it milled out and made the way it was.
