you can get some decent reps (or homages) for about $100.
try PWC over @ RepGeek. he has 111, fiddys, etc for $99. Josh or WatchEden also has
tons of PAM'S for under $200.

stan at Panatime is a very good guy. always fast and reliable. the straps are very nice for the money.
yeah don't forget the RG discount. if you're in new york you can go in person and get some great deals.

sorry to hear about the problems.i bought 1 DSN- 089 and had no problems.
i will agree that except for BK; who only sells Rolex; there is hardly any QC
from the dealers here. i've about finished my collection (at least 50 reps and maybe 18 gens)
and i too have become frustrated by the issue of qc especially with the movts.many of the reps have had to be fixxed
sometimes costing almost as much as the watches themselves. it has become almost impossible to find a gen swiss eta
movement, even when you pay extra for it- most of the dealers lie about that too.i usually factor $150 0r so into every rep for future repairs. then its not to aggravating.

Sorry guys but IMO- Rolex sport watches need a SS bracelet. but i gotta admit i've seen some
gen gold Daytonas on leather that look pretty nice.
PS. i like Josh but when it comes to movements i don't listen to everything he says.

Ill share: I use nail files. you need to get the ones that are foam in the middle, you can get all grits, I get mine at a nail salon (they are better than the ones from the grocery store). small moves, let the file to the work... good luck!!
ps- there are a bunch of posts on this, the search is your friend....
me too. also get some fine sanding emory cloth.

I agree, there's not much to get there. i live here and stop buying years ago.
you are usually much better off getting stuff here.

PAM Ultimate 104, 088,etc.

welcome. the main problem with collecting reps, as you have seen, is the lack of quality control
especially with the movements. i have close to 40 reps and would say that at least 1/4 had to be fixed.
you need to find a rep friendly watchsmith(who can fix chronos) or send to The Zigmeister or rex. at this point, i usually factor $100
into the cost of a rep for repairs. even then its a good deal- if you spend $400 for a 5k watch.

nice collection- congrats.

i am not a metalurgist but i can say that the wrapped watches Josh or other dealers
sell is worth the difference. the 18kt. plated wears off faster. also the main difference is the sides of the midlinks are also covered on the 'wrapped'
i have some TT TWBest rollies for about 3 years w/o any signs of wear on the gold. i think the mid links may actually be 'gold filled'
or solid 10kt. gold.- this has been debated here many times. i'm not sure but they look good!

wow- the sub dial spacing is way off from the gen.

i agree with most of the stuff posted. i have a Davidsen 089 and its very nice. he offers alot of models that other dealers don't sell. he is harder to deal with
and is slow to respond to emails- sometimes not at all.
most PAM guys recommend him for the hand wound stuff (111, 112, 113 etc ). some recommend Josh @ perfect clones for the ulimate
088, 104,199 or other automatics. Sead and PWC are @ RepGeek and also have some good PAMs. PWC has many in the $99 range- really a good buy.
DSN does not sell the submersible models or Ferraris. the FER are good reps and for $300 you can get them at alot of dealers.
