  1. 'dem some UGLY panny's...thank God for our dealers!!!!
  2. What's the deal with this MBW watch - every person that posts the pictures on all of the boards does not tell what dealer or any details. How cool is that? Not very! It's almost like they are trying to generate a buzz (may have succeeded) in order to get the price up for these. As for this piece being over $2k? Puuulllllease- that has to be a joke! I can buy a ton of gen watches with properly lubed ETA movements that will last a lifetime longer than that watch
  3. Just sized my Orange PO today!!! First day on the wrist!!! Trusty rocks!!!! Erik
  4. Hey all- I was wondering if anyone has a good place near San Jose (CA) that will work on our beloved reps? Thanks! -Erik
  5. Wow! Sweet dude! I love it! Wear it well!!!!
  6. Tourneau is a great place to go for selection and to see the gen watches- however having dealt with them a lot for some of my gens, I really can't stand that store. Their overall knowledge is pretty horrid (at least in the San Jose store - NYC is very different) and their customer service is pathetic. Oh well, at least you can see and feel what you want - which is nice!
  7. I guess it is the sign of the times- but what happens when your cell phone battery dies...does time stop for you?? Find me a cell phone that will last longer than my 30 year old Speedmaster and I will stop using a watch. The cell phone is a disposible appliance, but I do check my watch against it especially when I travel. So maybe this is the solution?
  8. Ummmmm....I just fell out of my chair! Was there a watch in those photos??
  9. Here's a flip-side story...I have a gen speedy that is 20+ years old passed down to me and I am passing it down to my younger brother. Before I do so, I wanted it serviced at the local Tourneau. Since it is old, the caseback is without serial number and is slightly different than today's model. The guy thinks it is rep from the start and whips out of the case a new model to compare side-by-side while asking questions like "where did you get it" and why don't you have any paperwork? I really hate that shop, but didn't know of another place that would service it. In any case- I can't wait to get my 177H from Andy and start browsing that store. They don't sell them at that store and this guy has about as much knowledge as a doornob. They probably follow me around the store like a lost puppy! Cool thread!
